Will GOP fail to gain Senate and lose House?

In Virginia, George "Macaca" Allen (R) is playing it safe this time and keeping his mouth shut. You wouldnt know there's a Senate race going on here.
... and that was the end of his chance for election six years ago.
Both candidates are former governors here and both did well. -

Sep 24, 2012 4:39 AM GMTEarly on, I was sure we (the Democrats) were going to lose the Senate, but Romney and Ryan are the gift that just keeps right on giving. They are dragging down a lot of Republican Congressional candidates, with them.
Now, I'm sure we'll hold the Senate.
I think it would be a miracle if we took back the House.
But, if Romney and Ryan keep talking out of their asses, who knows ?

Your obsession with American politics is puzzling to say the least.
I think the citizens of the UK and many other places possess enough brain power to stay informed of not only their own politics, but of other nation's politics too. It's a well know fact that the people of many other countries know more about our own government than we do. So I'd keep my mouth shut....otherwise, he might educate you on a thing or two about your own government. -

Sheesshh! Today I was watching a little bit of CSPAN and they were showing footage of a public policy group, I think Annenberg, do a focus group study of undecided Virginia voters. There was one person who thought it was Obama who was 2 weeks late in surveying the damage from Katrina! -

Exactly. And the sad thing is, that kind of ignorance is very very common here. Australians know much more about our government that most of our citizens. They always astound me at how educated they are on American politics. -

Statistically, 'you' don't. Those on middle and low incomes are far more likely to spend a higher percentage of their income than are rich people. Conversely, rich people are far more likely to squirrel away a higher percentage of their income in tax avoiding schemes than are those on middle and low incomes. -

That's a lie. He donated $10,000 to anti-gay hate group NOM, so clearly he does care about social issues. He supports a federal constitutional amendment to ban gay marriage.
His economic policies are terrible for 99% of Americans. -
