OK, got my bike back with the re-taped handlebars, actually nicer than the original factory wrap.

I came THIS CLOSE to buying a Trek carbon fibre road bike today, was marked down $1000. But the dealer actually didn't want to sell it to me, said it was too close to our ride to Key West next week, and I should spend at least a month on a bike before attempting that distance.

I may visit the dealer where I got my Cannondale, see if he has anything on sale. I don't like being told what I cannot do. icon_mad.gif

That dealer is stupid. If the bike is properly fitted and you were already riding centuries, you should be able to ride a century on it's maiden voyage.

Today I finally got clipless pedals for my MTB. It took all of 2 minutes to "readjust" to them (used to use clipless when riding centuries). Then I hit the trails and had no problem unsnapping when needed, like being behind a slow person going up a rocky hill. icon_lol.gif

    Yay for new bikes!
I had this one custom made for me, it's a year old and I'm still in love with it like I lost my virginity to it. I'm cuckoo for my rocket!

That is awfully generous and flattering of you both... the bike is amazeballs but you might need to have your eyes checked on the rest. icon_redface.gif

I'm due for an eye checkup in December; but until then I'll stand by my previous statement. icon_wink.gif
