    I moved back to the US after 16 years in Europe. I'm thankful I could find work - nothing special but it's work and the bills are being paid.

    I have my health and closer to family with whom I'm reconnecting.

    1. Not having to pay for college...thank my mom every week but I guess that isn't enough. Probably going to right her a big check when I am older

    2. My apartment at school

    3. Friends (Well...some)

    4. The amount of networking I've done this semester alone. I am not worried about finding a job when I graduate

    I'm thankful to be able to take for granted what so many people must do without....a comfortable home, a full belly, a job I love, people I love and that love me, good health and an occasional random blessing or mercy that comes along when I need it most.
    I'm thankful for a family that I am able to count on 365 days of the year and for the newer and soon-to-be faces that give me so much pleasure.
    And lastly but importantly, I'm happy to have found a new group of friends (I'll even go so far as to say family) that allow me to voice my most personal, intimate, wacky, unknowledgeable, random thoughts and offer nothing but support, information, encouragement and needed rebuke. So for all you gentlemen, whether I know you only through the forums, have exchanged messages with you or have become friendly with you in real life, I offer thanks.

    I am thankful for fulling healing this year from my surgery. This has been the first year in my entire life where I could run 5+ miles straight, or walk up 10 flights of stairs without wheezing! I am just so thankful that I have been given such a great gift and being the healthiest I have EVER been in my life...

    And I am thankful that I have been given certain opportunities to help children who have had similar problems!

    Although its been a rough year, and I will be losing my job this coming next Friday.

    I am thankful for:

    * My health
    * I have a place to live and food on the table.
    * RJ Community that makes me improve better and also laugh.
    * New friends and re-connecting with old ones.
    * Living in the Bay Area and everything that has to offer.
    * My faith
    * My father has always been a source of strength.
    * My nephews that make me laugh; although they do not live close by.

    I am thankful that after all these years, I still have friends that welcome me into their home like I am part of the family, and still love me for who I am, and parents who are super cool even approaching 80!

    I'm thankful for my family and upbringing. My parents may not be accepting, but they've helped me become a strong young man with a good head on my shoulders.
    Even though applying for grad school is tedious and expensive, I'm thankful for the opportunities I've had and the education I've been able to obtain.
    I'm thankful for my supportive friends who have been by my side through my struggles with my family.
    Finally, I'm thankful for abilities that allow me to help others so that they can also be thankful at times like these.

    A big thanks to you, too for all the support, encouragement, and humor you bring.

    I want to say that I am also greatful for the community that I found here. I cannot begin to adequately explain how you all have helped and challenged me over the last year and a half.

    I wish you all the very best.

    That after Hurricane Sandy, my home and yard got only minor damage, and that we only lost power for two days. Many people on Long Island were flooded, and went without power and gasoline for weeks. Many are homeless.
