Flipping the BIRD!

    I like to rub Old Bay seasoning under the skin, inject garlic juice into the flesh, and flip the bird over (cooking it breast side down).

    It's not the golden (and dry) turkey of a Norman Rockwell poster, but it sure does taste good.

    How do you cook your turkey for the most succulent, flavorful bird?

    I found out how to get a perfectly browned turkey one year when I didn't have any cooking oil or butter in the house to rub on the bird before baking it. I decided to use the only thing I had in the house which was Astroglide. The package says it's non-toxic so I decided to give it a try. I rubbed the turkey down with the Astroglide and popped it in the oven. My bird came out all brown and glistening - it was the best Thanksgiving turkey ever!
