@WaytoDawn, what makes you different though?? what makes you the person, the individual that you are?

I could start a whole debate about the concept of being "different" and "special" but I'll just say this:
To say I am different or special from the billions of other people on Earth would be prideful and unrealistic. I am who I am. It doesn't make me different or special. I just ... exist.

As for your questions, I would say my previous statment made a good case of who I am. Obviously there is alot more, but it's not all worth sharing.

I really like this question because it's something I think about a lot. My brain rarely ever gears down. I often have a hard time going to sleep at night because it's busy trying to understand whether I'm some finite biochemical mass that will cease to exist as soon as a major organ fails, or if I'm something more. And if I'm not more, then isn't it bizarre that intelligent creatures who can ponder their own existence came from a universe without any intelligence? That, from a cold universe with no designer, could come a living thing that often self destructs if it doesn't get enough of an abstract concept called "love" from a father figure? Or, if I am more, if I am a "soul", then why has this been my particular path in life and why do so many things seem to align against me? So, I guess my answer is that I don't know who I am ... or even what I am.

I'm not who I was and I'm not who I'm going to be.

This is going to sound totally pretentious, but... first and foremost, I'm a creative being. ...Yup. Sounded pretentious. I'm not trying to say that what I create will be worthwhile to anyone else or that I'm destined for artistic greatness or some sh*t, it's just that I'm most happy when I'm creating something. When I was going through a really bad depression and it was really hard to imagine a future in which I was happy, I sometimes comforted myself by picturing a future in which all I did was make stuff. When I'm completely focused on a project, there's no time to be sad. I don't think I could be happy without some sort of creative outlet, whether it's drawing or writing or playing instruments or performing or making crafts or baking or whatever the hell it is. Just as long as I make time to do stuff like that.

    In addition, I'm:

    -gay

    -an atheist

    -really tired right now

-kind of embarrassed that I made this post so sappy and personal, but not so embarrassed that I'm not going to just post it anyway

I'm just a kid. An ingenuous guy. Appearing aloof and remote, yet deep inside, very thoughtful and feeling. Wondering constantly about loved ones, sipping mochas, singing songs softly. Aspiring to be fluently multilingual. Industrious but socially taciturn. Artistically inspired, but often frustrated in attempts to create works. Just frustrated in general. There is a fire of passion, a certain self-mustered motivation to do things that arouse my interest. Independent, highly self-motivated. A need to handle myself strictly and abrasively, but also a need for others to treat me gently and sincerely. Perfectionist and orderly. Articulate of speech and with an expansive vocabulary, but unskilled in the art of sarcasm. A musician and singer. A world citizen. Fond of the same sex. Poetic. Non aggressive but willing to struggle violently and fight back when offended. A subdued but classy style and aesthetic to my taste.

I am the sum of my genetics and life experiences. As stated before, not who is was yesterday nor who I will be tomorrow as I am ever changing.
