Human (?) Ken doll

I wouldn't call him a "human Ken doll" because he's eerily unattractive. That being said, he's entitled to do what he wants to do with his body as long as he doesn't harm anyone and as long as he pays for it. He did admit, however, that his countless plastic surgeries validated him. Personally, I feel very sad for him.

Is it wrong that Dr. Travis is the ONLY reason I watch this show. I find it very motivational when I'm on the elliptical. icon_redface.gif

90 procedures, to me, in the sense that (after watching the video) he has no intention of stopping does seem a bit unusual, at his age.... That might indicate a sort of super "HIGH MAINTENANCE-in the mirror" lifestyle which, to me, wouldn't go over well with mine.. just not into the poofing and floofing stuff... but, it's his body... though, he may regret all/some of this later on down the road.... he may end up looking like a skull covered with Saran wrap if he doesn't take stock of the future implications....

Everyone is obviously entitled to their own opinion. Lil Tanker makes a very valid point because in the end it's all about being happy with yourself. Instead of negatively criticizing the guy maybe we should focus on the question "why"anyone feels the need to pay that much money to look attractive. Society in general but especially the gay community place such and emphasis on being beautiful and youthful. In my opinion our community is way to judgemental when it comes to physical appearance. I think we're all probably guilty to some degree of wanting a good looking muscular man. If he's happy and cool with it then so be it.

When someone goes down a path that leads them to life drugs or alcoholism, everyone knows that the drugs or alcohol are affecting their ability to think. Their faces either become bloated or gaunt, their health becomes goes quickly down hill and eventually the end up dead. And what do people say, "How sad. Such a waste," "What a terrible waste of life." Well, being addicted to plastic surgery is just as bad. Some brought up Michael Jackson. Everyone knows when they found him dead, they also found bags and bags of drugs, because all the plastic surgeries had left him in constant pain. Such a tragic waste. Everyone was looking to blame the doctor, but Michael was in charge of his own life, he killed himself by going down the path that he went down. And yes it is a waste of life any time anyone goes down a path that leads to their own self destruction. Who is he hurting? He is hurting himself. People who stand by and say nothing or that condone his behavior are no better than someone who would stand by and cheer on a person committing suicide. Most of you will probably not remember the young man that sat on the internet and televised himself committing suicide by taking several pills and alcohol all played out over the internet, while hundreds watched him do it and cheered him on and told him to take another pill and drink more. It is a sick world that we live in and supporters of mentally sick behaviors, that stand there, and cheer on a behavior that leads to a person's self destruction are part that sickness.

That was pretty sad. Especially sad to how ignorant he was to the dangers he was putting his body through. icon_sad.gif He also looked better in his pictures before the surgeries...

I agree he looks stupid and wasted his money. But if he's happy (not that I could tell if he is or isn't) then fuckin' good for him. I do plenty of things and spend my money in ways that people thing is idiotic and crazy and weird. But I'm happy, fuck 'em.

Now you're 2 cents richer, congrats.

ConQuest saidEven more important - I didn't realize AOL was still around... WTF???

    Ba ha ha. Tru dat.

Ken doesn't look bad...maybe a tad exaggerated. But what's he gonna look like in 20 years?
And even if all that fake stands up to time, will he be able to stop or will he end up looking like those scary celebrities that now serve as cautionary examples to those considering a lift?

I've been very deterred from cosmetic surgery after looking at this video. It's so obvious that he's had tons of work done. Why would someone pay so much money to look like that?

He's so delusional. The doctors suggested the danger of implant infection, shift, and bursting, and his response was that it is a non segue and he doesn't believe they're a possibility.

Also, those implants look really fake. Lets be honest.

THREAD DERAIL THREAD DERAIL! (And I highly approve)

Beauty is so subjective. I think Dr. Travis is the Ken doll. This guy's a freak & not at all attractive. Looks more like an anti-Ken doll or the human cat syndrome. Love to see him years from know after infection sets in & his implants implode. Now that'll be a work of art! Body dysmorphia taken to extremes & how the body reacts. He'll be like the Picture of Dorian Gray when it becomes diseased & disfigured........

The hacked up face is weird looking, and unmanly (not that a Barbie-face is all that becoming on a woman, either), but what really is revolting are the fake muscles. The idea of having anything implanted in me makes my skin crawl.icon_mad.gif

the thing is..... queens are mean. yeah, if he had stayed all natural....no one would talk about him...and they'd find ways to pick him apart. he was scrawny with a big nose....he just gets to be rejected for different reasons now, reasons he controlled...rather than being rejected for the way he was born.

i'm pretty sure he's friends with one of my real life friends. so he's not an abstraction to me.

personally, if someone has a vision, i say go for it. i love amanda lepore.

BUT...it's really hard to be objective......to know where that line is when you are crossing into parody.....but life is funny...no one gets out alive....
