wellwell saidHyphenated-Americans are pathetic; I can tell you that much. "American" is a term highly abused by U.S. nationals; EVERYONE from Canada, Mexico, and even Brazil, etc. are Americans!!

The British don't call us "United Statesters." Nor do the Canadians, or the French, Spanish, Belgians...
    Abused term? By the Europeans?

I'm a hyphenated American. I have my American identity and experience; my Polish identity and experience and my English identity and experience.

    What a stupid response.

i've actually always had a very strong attraction to mixed guys. or guys with a strong ethnic heritage of any kind.

so i guess the definition of "all american boy" used in this thread =boring

however south, and central american boys would be all american boys too, and in their case i would be unable to restrain my lust.

Cool, more power to you buddy! Yeah mixed guys are hot, google Marcel Nguyen the german gymnast. Boring, maybe, I guess my point is there is no all american boy type because we're all mixed and came from somewhere else. It's kind of funny and catty to see some guys turned it into a race-thread. icon_lol.gif

The "All American" Look, generally refers to an American White male with a defined to muscular build. While I don't agree, that is the common consensus.

Back atcha on stupid response. Most of the people on these two continents get pretty touchy about the "American" thing. And in europe, I've been called all kinds of other things. Most often "Norteamericano" (sorry Canada and Mexico) and Usan (oosan) , which I guess is similar to Frank Lloyd Wright's "Usonian" that never really caught on. And of course "Yank," which seems suspiciously close to "wanker."

The use of "Yank" is not as common in the UK as it once was. In fact, I cannot recall when I last heard anyone say it (probably me). I would guess its use peaked in WW2, during the pre-D-Day period, when tens of thousands of American soldiers were (according to the good natured British jibe), "overpaid, oversexed and over here". (The GIs had a come-back - calling the Brits, "underpaid, undersexed and under Eisenhower".) These days, when it is used, it is just neutral shorthand for "American".

Hollister, Abercrombie, Aeropostale = All American

    H&M, Zara, G-Star, Diesel = Not

Everytime we go down to the States to do outlet-mall shopping, we complain that everything is too "american sized" (as in too-horizontal and not slim fit)

    What a disgusting write-up.

    Kel_ saidFrom Urban Dictionary:

    Potato Queen
A gay asian male who exclusively dates caucasian males that are usually, but not necessarily older. While professing to be open-minded about race, the fact that they only date white males to the exclusion of asian, black, hispanic, and middle eastern males demonstrates they are close-minded. Usually this is the result of self-hatred.
By admitting they only find caucasian males attractive, they are tacitly admitting they do not find asian males attractive and thus, do not find themselves attractive. Considering oneself unattractive is an indication of low self-esteem and self-hatred, which is pervasive among potato queens. For this reason, Potato Queens are usually found in America where the white media dominates.

I like 2 and 3 better. (more thumb ups) icon_wink.gif

    2. Potato Queen 258 up, 165 down

A gay asian male who prefers to date (NOT necessarily older) caucasian men. Unlike bitter (usu. less attractive)sticky rice, who have given up on any chance of dating or interacting with men outside their race, potato queens make friends of all races.
Sure, he's a potato queen and has his eye on that surfer boy, but that doesn't mean he won't make friends with Danny Lin.

by RiceBowl Sep 16, 2003 share this add a video

    3. potato queen 190 up, 172 down

Quite simply, potato queens are gay Asian males who tend to feel sexually attracted to White guys, but do not discriminate in friendship. Potato queens are usually more attractive, fun, outgoing and self-confident than their sticky rice counterparts. Often bitter, racist anti-White sticky rice will try to bash potato queen Asian males because the potato queens have no romantic interest in dating the generally less attractive, ethnocentric sticky rice. One needs only to look at some of these other definitions from English grammar-challenged Asian stickies to see this. Sadly for sticky rice, White guys usually are not into them anyway and generally prefer potato queens, so sticky rice animosity becomes a moot point.

David Chang is proud of his Asian heritage AND tends to be romantically interested in caucasian men, so I guess that makes him a potato queen.
