AejA87 saidI am a clean freak in my apartment, and i HATE baggless vacuums! Its a bunch of bull shit when you open the clear container with all the dust and dirt in it and empty it in the trash. What happens when you dump the shit out into the trash? The dust and dirt poofs into the air! Pissing me off that what was once on the ground is now floating in my air.... Hate them. Thats why i love the old fashion bag ones icon_wink.gif
You're hot as fuck and I'd love to do you in a parking lot or airport restroom or behind a dumpster at 3am; but there's no fucking way I could ever be in your house if you're that much of a clean freak.

    That's just fucking INSANE! icon_lol.gif

... uh... I dont know how to respond to that so im just gonna say Banana Hammock...?

I likewise prefer a bag vacuum over bagless. Get a vacuum that also has a HEPA filter on the exhaust air, helpful for people with allergies. Even my little Oreck has one, plus it also takes scent modules that neutralize some of the dirt smell a vacuum can put out. I also like a vacuum with a smaller capacity paper bag, requiring it to be replaced more often, further reducing exhaust odors.

oreck xl. many of the oreck stores sell reconditioned ones for far less than a new one. my mom has had one for 30 years, and i actually have 2. one for the house and one for the boat. made in the usa, very simple design, and they do exactly what they are supposed to do. clean.

I can not afford to get myself a new vacuum cleaner right now.So I'm gonna use
my stick vacuum cleaner and brooms to clean my apartment until I get myself a
    better vacuum cleaner to use.

For those of you who worry about the dusty smell of vacuum exhaust, try scattering a little baking soda on the rug before you vacuum.

The contents of my dyson go straight into the compost, though you can chuck a vacuum bag into a composter too.

You could draw blood to the skin surface if the suction is high enough, sorta like giving your dick a hickey all over. And it wouldn't feel good.

I tried it when I was around 13 with my family's Electrolux canister vac. I was too big when hard to fit into the hose nozzle, so it never happened. And the metal edge of the nozzle hurt. Just as well it was a failure.

I'd say go with Fairfax. You may get a refurbished one at a local dealer. Yes, a bit expensive, but I've had mine for over 30 years and still beats anything on the market.

Speaking of vacuums, the company I work for recognized the work I was going in December (working nights and weekends) and so they gave me an online certificate to redeem gifts. It was a pretty significant contribution, and there were really nice things like LED/Plasma 50 inch TVs, all paid for resort vacations, and espresso machines etc.

But what sold me was the Dyson DC23 Motorhead Animal. My bf and I were looking for vacuum's for our new place and agreed to wait until we had saved a bit. Instantly grabbed that. We still had enough points to get an multi-temp cordless electric kettle (to heat water to different temps for tea) and other nifty gadgets!

I'll wait until I get the vacuum before I comment whether the price is worth it lol.

I've always been a big fan of dysons, but they are expensive! Not to mention, cleaning is HELL living with female roommates hair EVERYWHERE.

I' won't buy myself an expensive vacuum cleaner or an used vacuum cleaner
or a refurbished vacuum cleaner at all.I hate old and used vacuum cleaners
and I want nothing to do with them.I live cheaply with style.

Somehow cheaply with style doesn't sound right to me... Unless you are amazing at DIY building and can create you're own unique stuff, style doesn't come cheap :S

Try not to get a grumpy, old, sassy vacuum cleaner like the one in The Brave Little Toaster. I was uneasy around our old vacuum cleaner when I was a kid because of that sucky (pun intended) old appliance.

Lots of valuable information posted last year here - a thread where people made recommendations for eco-friendly economical masculine high tech floor vacuum cleaners for a gay single man living alone who rented a studio apartment: http://www.realjock.com/gayforums/1464427
