I almost watched a cyclist get hit by a motorist bitch today.

    Wahhh??? WTF does that mean?
I don't ride on main roads...just neighborhood street...only crossing the main roads when needed.

Hollywood is mostly ghetto once you get away from Hollywood Blvd.

My sister lives on Jefferson, 6 blocks south of Hollywood Blvd, on South Lake off the Intracoastal. She'd be amused to hear you said that (if I still spoke with her). Her home is worth in the 7 figures.

I'm on the west side of I-95. It's not so nice here, though I am familiar with her neighborhood.

Either way, I still do my best to stay clear of main thoroughfares when riding on the streets. And even in her neighborhood, it's still ghetto just a few blocks away.

The only time I wear a helmet on the road is during an organized event. Riding by myself, no way.

Ah, west of 95. OK, that's different. I've been going to Hollywood since the 1970s, my image is always that area near the beach and the Intracoastal, all east of Young Circle.

But of course the beach strip itself used to be all Mom & Pop hotels back then, and French-Canadian stores & bars. I used to love to go to the beachfront bars and order in French, until they told me the charge. I was never good with numbers in French. They'd realize I was a fraud and insult me. Ah, good memories. Can it really be 40 years ago? icon_confused.gif
