    Hi fellas,

Have been taking Korean Ginseng full potency from Solgar for about 2 weeks, has given me masses of energy, workouts have improved, work with my hands so extra energy always a plus. Feel like I could go on for ages LOL. icon_biggrin.gif

Just wondering what else is on the market that you have tried for energy and has really worked well??

Right before my workouts, I eat a tiny bit of 100% cacao for a kick of energy. The active ingredient is theobromine, which is a molecule that is similar to caffeine; though cacao has small amounts of caffeine in it as well.

I tried one of those Sobe drinks - Red Dragon i think - with ginseng for energy. It made me super hyper.

A couple of years later I tried taking ginseng supplements but they didn't do a think for me. Might have been the guarana, which is similar to caffeine. Also the ginseng pills tasted like burnt. I coated them in honey before swallowing.

I enjoy two free form amino acids for various reasons. They're more powerful than drugs when taken in isolation and on an empty, no competing proteins or other isolated aminos.

Tyrosine on an empty stomach produces the most sensual sense of well being as it floods your brain with multiple essential neurotransmitters. To some it's simulating, but I find it rather relaxing; yet perfect for starting the day.

For a mid day boost or prior to a workout, I like L Carnitine. One form produces energy for workout stamina, The other has a more mental focusing effect.. Again, best taken on an empty stomach, though both forms can be dosed together.

Neither the tyrosine or carnitine produce the stimulant effect and side effects of caffeinated beverages. The feeling is far superior.
