My favourite gay pride moment was my first gay pride parade. I had recently discovered my gay identity and I was living in San Francisco during the mid 1970's. I was very surprised to see how many men were lining Market Street. I had to climb up a pole to see over the crowd. I could understand the word "pride" being associated with this event because that is what I felt, an overwhelming sense of pride at being gay. The first group in the parade was the "Dykes on Bikes". They roared past where I was perched and I thought they were sooo "cool".

I hope this counts... it was at the Folsom Street Festival East in NYC. It's during pride month, and it's always the sunday before NYC pride. Nonetheless I went with some friends and my BF at the time. Had a blast, drank a good amount of beer, and then made my way to the local bar's dark room for some mutual fun. The scene was right out of a porno and to be honest I couldn't believe what happened until after it was done. Then I ran, giggly like a school girl, to an italian restaurant where we all laughed about the experience. Ha! Crazy memory.

My Best and first time at Pride was in Austin, Texas.icon_wink.gif

I went alone, and met so many new friends and learned a lot from the Gay community and what services were out there for the whole community. I fully understand the meaning of "Pride" and what Unity means to a group people that just want to be part of the greater good of Humanity! There is a sense of belonging and acceptance among these events, and Austin made my experience a lifetime memory!!!

Thank you Austin, Texas for the Pride!!!icon_smile.gif

My best gay pride moment was Miami this past Thanksgiving. I ended up there for another reason and found out it was muscle beach weekend!
The guys were hot and it was so amazing to see so many gay men everywhere without any need to hide who they are. I went to one party while being there and was amazed by the energy and the lack of shirt dress code. It could be great to be in Miami again!

My favourite gay pride moment was the first time I saw Pride in NYC--it was the first time I saw the incredible diversity of the gay community. There were guys in drag and women on motorcycles but there was also gay about every other imaginable group. It was pretty cool.

Last year was my first time at NYC pride; and I found the sheer number of people overwhelming. Despite this I still had two friends in the parade manage to spot me and run over to say hi, including monsieur RobBot125.
Which were probably the highlights of my day.

Very excited to go back again.

My favorite Pride moment was going to "Come Out With Pride" in October 2010 here in Orlando. I was still kind of a RJ "newbie" at that time and I met up with my now long-time buddy, sashaman, there. Met him and his partner and a friend of theirs at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando and we had a blast taking in all the events.

There is even a pic of us being the crazy kids we are in our respective profiles here. He's my best buddy and that event kicked off a great friendship.

Look at how many first posters in here!

Well my own gay pride moment was volunteering in Minnesota, which I've done the past two years. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience must of the festivities (I was even working during the parade but out of view).

Since I already live down here and will probably get free parking and entrance anyway, does this mean I can cash in the winnings if I win?

"Favorite Pride Moment" ... People watching ... seeing pure freedom of happiness and self expression. Absolute fun and joy on everyone's face ... even if its just for a small moment in time .... for now anyway.

My most memorable gay pride moment was my first ever gay pride in 1985 West Hollywood. I had just turned 21 years old and had never even been to a gay bar let alone a gay pride parade. That day I said this is who I am and never looked back icon_biggrin.gif:

I attend pride at Chicago in 2010 for the first time. Aside from the display of color and interesting characters, was how no matter what anyone looked like, their age, or sexuality, everyone was proud of themselves and spreading the love between each other with their positive energy.

My favorite gay pride moment was when I was asked to march in the gay pride parade with others for our local HIV/AIDS organization. I ran back and forth to the crowd handing out cards for a free HIV test and condoms. The excitement and energy of the crowd was an awesome adrenaline rush and it was exciting as young men reached out from the crowd to grab a card and catch a quick grasp of my hand and flash me sweet flirtatious smile.
