Yeah that's totally not true. I'm so sick of hearing people excuse/dismiss/ignore muslims because Christianity was "just as bad." The truth is, more poeple die in one year in the name of Islam than died in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition. Since 9/11 there have been over 20000 fatal Islamic terrorist attacks. Christianity has never been that brutal.

1 to 2 million ppl. died during the Christian Crusades - just saying.

In the following countries, homosexual acts are punishable by death:

    Sudan
    Somalia
    Mauritania
    Yemen
    Saudi Arabia
    Iran
    United Arab Emirates
    ALL MUSLIM COUNTRIES
Thanks to the religion of peace

Six countries afford gay couples marriage with full legal rights:
    South Africa
    Spain
    Belgium
    Norway
    Sweden
    Canada
    ALL CHRISTIAN COUNTRIES

Actually, ALL SECULAR COUNTRIES. The Christians are just as fucking horrible as the muslims, cf Uganda.

The truth is, more poeple die in one year in the name of Islam than died in all 350 years of the Spanish Inquisition. Since 9/11 there have been over 20000 fatal Islamic terrorist attacks. Christianity has never been that brutal.

Gospel (followers of just jesus's words) Christianity doesnt allow someone to kill or spread hate , fuck with what Pauline(followers of saint paul the murderer who killed apostle Stephen & plotted to kill jesus & converted to Christianity later) Christianity says!
Christianity says love , forgiveness , & good virtues ,there are no jihad things in christianity ?
infact we dont have holy wars !
there happens to be that some christians kill someone else but bible doesnt command it , its their own will whereas if one refers to islam ,everyone knows what u get when u google- Jihad & islam & murder ,etc

I can, Buddhism, though thought of a Religion is more of a Belief System, which centers on Self and Enlightenment. Buddhists do not care of you are gay or str8. They only believe that having an affair with another's loved one is good. However: "Some later traditions do feature sanction of homosexual contact. However, some, including the current Dalai Lama, uphold that any form of sexual expression other than monogamous vaginal sex within a heterosexual relationship violates the Third Precept of Buddhism." That thought is not universally held throughout Buddhists.

There isn't any hatred about gays in Hinduism also which doesn't mean its some perfect religion. I am just talking in context of homosexuality. Buddhism is supposed to be improved version of Hinduism devoid of any caste based division.

UndercoverManMaybe some one can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think either the federal or state governments of the United States has ever executed someone for being gay.

I know there are sodomy laws "on the books" in many states but I don't think anyone has been put to death simply for being homosexual in the United States.

I freely concede this; but as has been pointed out, that hasn't stopped considerable anti gay violence and rhetoric in the US. I was saying that it is difficult to say what is secular country or a religious one, as these examples suggest.

The same applies the other way around. Norway introduced full and equal same sex marriage in 2009 but did not begin the process to remove the State Church from the constitution until 2012.

Well those are old laws my friend,
Christianity means the gospel (matthew ,mark, luke& john) moreover what other books in bible(apart from gospel) say about homosexuality make no sense as jesus didnt say anything---- just what the authors thought ,they wrote it up , so u need to do the research too !

sometimes i think should i take his matter into my own hands, have all super powers turn against these muslim countries, and take away there countries by force, and if its necessary, genocide. but yet again i think not to do anything and let them grow and learn.

Christianity is much older then Islam..It took them (bible followers) this long to realize the change in humanity and acceptance of a different lifestyle, they've gone as far as changing laws and adapting in our time in history (in some part of the world). There are more gay Arabs than you think, more secretly gay Muslims, they just need to find one another and slowly revolt against political and religious extremist .
But it all needs time... as much time as it took for other parts of the world. We don't need to hate against all race and believers, just those that terrorize through unacceptable violent acts.

I was raised Muslim and been through the same process as many others to accept my homosexuality. My views are against extremist and violence. I find it threatening to know that not only our devious religious leaders but also other races and men have hate toward us. Quote by 'archon' ..."sometimes i think should i take his matter into my own hands, have all super powers turn against these muslim countries, and take away there countries by force, and if its necessary, genocide. but yet again i think not to do anything and let them grow and learn"

You disagree with homosexuality punishable by death yet others prefer genocide as teaching. Gay ppl are as evil as anyone else.

google out the horrible executions of gays in middle-east
with even their feet & hands chopped off
its a very sensitive issue for each & every human being

I'm very sorry to hear that your friend was killed in such a horrific manner. I have already seen these executions and it makes me want to vomit to know how little we have evolved.

no we have come a long way, there are many countries and races that are still behind the rest of us of humanity on the evolutionary scale, its not the human race as a whole that has not evolved, but some minor races of people. but races come and go. and even thought some are barbaric and animalistic, they still deserve a chance to grow and learn, and if they don't learn in time, they will be force to learn by the law of cause and effect.

We are no more 'evolved' than any other race, do not impose your western norms on the whole planet, also that is an incredibly racist statement!

Christianity also condemns homosexuality just as much as Islam does. The only difference is that you associate islam with violence and terrorism.
And trust me its not that bad. The gay life here is very flamboyant.

i do not see race, and there are many societies out there that far exceed muslims in the evolutionary scale, who do not preform primitive acts of violence, who know the true value of every human person, who do not oppress women because they believe they are not equal, who do not destroy in the name of religion. those groups of people, if they can't control there animal passion, they ether there freedom must be taken away or everything in there society, every idea they hold dear must be destroyed. its hard to kill an idea when so many people strengthen it, but not impossible. I'm not

Certainly true, although LGBT people have little to no rights in those countries, especially since most of those countries have gone through political, social, and economic turmoil in recent history.

Granted Muslim populations in those countries have a fairly looser interpretation of Islam compared to their neighbors in the Middle East and North Africa.

Yes. OP didn't make a full list of countries that allow same-sex marriage. Oddly, the first nation to grant same-sex marriage isn't listed either.

Well if you havent seen the secret chopping of Gays & "UnISLAMIC" subjects in
ALbania , Kazak , Indonesia(the home of Al-qaeeda) , Azeri jihadis slitting the throats of anyone who they supect to be gays, Mali where stonning to death of gays by the Maghrebi jihadis of Algeria & Mauritania , then just do a little research

    ALSO

IRAQ where homosexuality was legalized many years back, makes no sense to me , coz i lost my dear friend killed by islamic clerics "BY STONING" to death & as much as 4000 gays have been killed by islamic police , so just think about how much legitimization means in Muslim countries

speaking of turkey, it is really safer , but sooner the islamization is gonna take charge & impose their religious laws , im sure of it , when Turkish gays would be cut off just like one of my friend who father cut his tongue with a knife ,"just cause he was GAY"

so islami "GAY" supporters , u are more stupid then ever before
one great challenge just go to north nigeria ,Saudi Arabia ,Iran & iraq or Afghan or ANY MUSLIM COUNTRY in North Africa & Middle-east , go to the public place & shout : "i am GAY" , see the reaction when swords would come-up & chop u "PRACTICALLY" , Try it , dumb "Closet ISLAMI GAYS"

you forgot my country of birth, the netherlands. Which has a long tradition of religious tolerance and secularism; and the first country with legal gay marriage thanks to that.

Oops, the entire list down there is secular now. Silly me icon_smile.gif

PS. Now when those secular countries were all officially christian, they used to torture us gays to death. FYI. And jesus is also called the prince of peace. (Aren;t we all so tolerant and peaceful, us abrahamaic religious folk?)
