    ^

The gospels may not - but the Old testament certainly does and the Bible contains both. Fundamentalist Christians frequently refer to Leviticus to justify their position on homosexuality.

Bu there's no point just pointing to the texts. The REALITY of Christianity is that it has shown persecution of Christians from time to time.

This debate is tired: homophobic Christians, Muslims, Jews and Atheists persecute gay people and gay friendly Christians, Muslims, Jews and Atheists don't.

And that's about all you can establish.

It is indefensible that so many US gays support a president who is sending foreign aid and/or military support to so many of the countries executing gays.

How many foreign gay lives is it worth in trade for the repeal of Don't Ask, Don't Tell and DOMA non-enforcement: 5, 50, 500, 5000?

Again...Christianity had time to evolve from the savage days and adapted to modern lifestyle. Islam is still in the barbaric age and modern accepting Muslims have yet to come out and change our history. It is best to help one another and voice our differences then to point fingers and show hate.

There are leaders of gay communities in each of these countries that are working very hard and risking their lives to make a difference. Some Muslim preachers are becoming more and more open minded toward homosexuality. There is signs of hope and change.

^ I don't agree with this 100% but it definitely show a difference..

Dude christianity is about the practice of gospels ONLY !
jesus comanded to spread goespels (matthew ,mark ,luke & john) & not the bible !
    getting the distinction ?

the new testament books of the acts & etc etc that condem gays & shit isnt what jesus told to preach !
its just a practice of love & forgiveness & affections thats all why most christians who understand it never follow the commands of anything except the four books of the new testaments excluding all the old testament & all the books after book of john

Christianity traditionally places a high value on the four canonical gospels, which it considers to be a revelation from God and central to its belief system. Christians teach that the four canonical gospels are an “accurate and authoritative” representation of the life of Jesus, but many scholars agree that not everything contained in the gospels is historically 'reliable'.

In Islam the Injil (Arabic: إنجيل‎) is the Arabic name for the original gospel of Jesus, and is one of the four holy books that the Qur'an records as having been revealed by God. Which means that your Gospels are also read by Islamic scholars and prophesied as you preach. (Putting aside what dangerous vicious hungry to rule man say or handle)

I believe if your a religious person then you should at least accept all religions as a way others value life on earth. And must be able to see the difference between manipulated teachings by power and with individual believe as man is close to God through prayers.

You say Christianity is about the practice of gospels Only. Does it also say to exterminate a whole group of people like you wished for earlier? Be careful what you say because your also including innocent people in your statement.

MotelWrestler saidIt's very disappointing to see some U.S. churches, possibly frustrated at their lack of ability to push what they want here, spending money in places like Russia and Uganda to support anti-gay laws. These churches should be investigated and have their tax exemption taken away. In fact, any church engaging in political activity should be taxed.

pazzy saidwho the fuck cares. being dead would be better than having to live in the world around assholes even if they're gay like you anyway.
Oh come-on Pazz. You know you care more about your fellow fags than to throw them under the bus like that.

Yeah being dead is better than being subjected to the horrors that gays in other countries face; but wouldn't you rather be the guy who sacrifices his life for the betterment of your fellow man, rather than the dude who gets caught and beheaded for being a faggot?

You have balls. We know this. You wouldn't be on this site spreading the ideas you spread if you didn't have balls. I've already got respect for you. It would be nice to see you express your disgust with the behavior of these countries, rather than hiding behind the cloak of invisibility while hurling insults at those who try to change the emotionally damaging system. icon_wink.gif
