You've definitely got the cute thing, with some handsome, and a bit of smart ass, which is high compliment in my book.

Actually, at this point, if someone thinks that I can manage "cute" in addition to "handsome", I'll take the compliment. icon_cool.gif

I don't mind being cute but I do like the occasional "sexy" or "good looking".

Well, some guys are just cute to me. And cute for me can mean dateable and bangable, so what's the problem? icon_biggrin.gif

I don't mind at all. Makes me feel young. Though I will also gladly appreciate "handsome", "sexy", "hot", "hunky", etc. icon_lol.gif

No. I don't care really or consider myself cute

I'm too tough-acting and abrasive. But it is what it is

I think "cute" is a higher compliment than "hot" or "sexy." At least it is when I say it. Hot and sexy have that pesky superficial/shallow connotation to them.

No. I would lose all interest in a guy that calls me cute. Cats are cute. There are so many other words to describe a guy you find attractive. Put some dirt on it.

Some guys are into cute/adorable looking guys and so they think cute is a compliment to say it to someone. Other guys are not into cute/adorable looking guys so they think cute is a way of friendzoning someone. I can see why guys who get called cute find it confusing. I guess it makes sense to reply "do you find cute guys attractive?"

It depends on who's saying it and their translation (if any):

Women - I have no issues with them calling me cute.
Gay guys - "you're attractive but I'm not into you."
    Straight guys - awkward
Lesbians - "I'm lying! You're really ugly and I want to kick your ass!"

I used to feel exactly like the OP when I first joined RJ.

But I just was weird about that because it reminded me or being a child. Now I understand what people mean by it better icon_lol.gif

I've been called "cute" semi-regularly along with other compliments. I don't really analyze each, I did chuckle when a 19 year old on here called me "cute" last week. I just thank the guy who made the compliment...
and tell them I appreciate it.

It does get boring, day in and day out, all the time, everyone saying the same thing, complete strangers stopping me on the street to remark how cute I am. So, no, I never grow tired of it, at least not yet.

I think it often means - 'you're unattractive, but I'm too polite to say so'
