Below is the comment I sent to them. How would you craft the No Ad if it were you?

I believe we're trying our best to counter the Yes ad but I do think our own ads need to be more personal. It's time people to see faces of real people who would have the rights taken away if they vote Yes.

The recent "quotes" ad is very weak in my opinion. It's detached. My ad idea would be something to this effect:

A girl (lesbian) being a bridesmaid dreaming of her own wedding. Flash to Supreme Court decision and joy/celebration of the girl and her straight friends. The straight friend would say something "now we're equal and I'll get to be your bridesmaid"
Flash to the girl wedding, she's throwing the bouquet. Voice-over asking audience "why would you take away this right for anyone?"

Also, it would be great if we could also put a face on the the Yes ad and who's behind it. Point out their groups. Name names. Most of them are out of towners and Californians don't take kindly to people who's meddling with our own state affairs.

I think straight America (even straight California) still is not at a point where they want to see two gays together in a romantic setting. It makes them sick.
I think the current series of ads is perfect, particularly the one with the quotes from a bunch of respected sources.
Also, I don't want them to publicize the Yes on 8 donors because a lot of those donors are "respectable" institutions, and it will give their fucked up beliefs some sort of gravitas.
For some reason, this No on 8 campaign is even more important to me than the presidential election, as crazy as that is going to seem to some people--and I don't even have a boyfriend.

I agree with you... NICE ideas!
Do the same with gay men.

He was saying name names of the YES on Prop. 8 people and I think that is a good thing!

We need to counter these attack ads and show who is behind them.
