    I LOVE cooking.

Since my mom had a stroke several years ago, I now make the Thanksgiving dinner for my family. I have introduced them to "really weird stuff", like my pumpkin soup (my nephews just KNEW they'd hate it.....but didn't), and apple almond stuffing, my mom's new favorite dish.

I also make a mean chicken taco and another dish from Mexico that a very good friend taught me to make, called tinga.

    Mmmmmmm. Hungry now.icon_wink.gif

Cooking is the only thing in the world that I will always come back to, day in and day out.

    It makes me happy.

I make an addicitve Lapin au vin, but my trademark (what people ask for) is a nice cut of tenderloin, mashed potatoes, and roasted asparagus. I learned how to make mashed potatoes in France...the unhealthy way. I made normal potatoes for a long time, then moved their, studied and then came back to America to kill people slowly with my mashies.

Well, I'm not a very imaginative cook - so I eat things like oatmeal, salads, soups and healthy foods from the deli - or hearty foods my housekeeper cooks and leaves for me. But - with that being said, I am a great guy for the grocery shopping, cleaning, polishing, setting the table, anything helpful - just not the cooking!

metroPAULitan saidthanks to mom and dad i'm a fantastic italian food cook...however, my favorite thing to do is bake. i make a deadly cheesecake and killer cookies (all my own recipes). my coworkers know that once fall arrives, they'll be packing on the pounds from all my baking.
