I know this is an old topic, but just wanted to ask how many of those that posted are a believer in global warming and are proponents of curbing our carbon footprint? Just FYI, raising meat for food (beef, pork and poultry) contributes more green house gases than the entire auto industry worldwide. The methane gas released by the animals we raise for food has more heat trapping capability than CO2, roughly 296X more. Not to mention the amount of grains and water it takes to produce one pound of meat for consumption. There would be no World hunger if every pound of grain went to feed people versus animals raised for food, not to mention all the water it takes to produce that one pound of meat! And the pollution produced by the run off from the farms are helping kill the oceans. But you don't hear about that do you? That's big money at work in Washington. What a great Nation we live in, where Lady Justice scales are tipped by how much money you can pile on her scale. Don't believe me? Go video tape a mass production animal farm and post it online and see how fast you find yourself sitting in prison violating the Ag-Gag law. True, it originally was for employees of these businesses, but there are also non employees that are sitting in prison now labeled as AG terrorists. The argument is that they cost the company money by their posting of the video. Milk and eggs also carry a large carbon foot print. You want to do something that will have an immediate effect on global warming? Stop eating meat and eggs and drinking milk. It won't take decades to reverse, just a couple of years! There are two documentaries on Netflix I would recommend watching; 'Cowspiracy' talks about the carbon footprint and 'What the health' talks about the modern diseases caused by eating meat and dairy.
