You obviously missed the whole point of the song. And it in no way implies anyone is an insecure drunk. Lost and lust after a straight, sure. All part of the younger years.

I disagree. It doesnt show any negative stereotypes. That entire song could be constructed out of threads on this site. Thats a bit calling the kettle black. We have threads about unrequoted love. Falling for straight guys. Falling for your friend. And as far as the soft core porn goes....take a look at the photos on this site. And of course the song is trite. Most songs are.
oh, i can point them out one by one. this video is an ignorant homophobes dream or vision of what a gay man is about.
-a gay guy chasing after a straight guy and trying to turn him out. we have gay guys that seem to be all in love with straight guys they KNOW they can't have or will never date them. why chase after a straight guy when there's plenty of gay guys out there?
-the alcohol and drug references.
-the whole hook up, one night stand, sex stereotype that gay men are all about sex and can't formulate relationships with each other.
-the whole body obsessive, superficial, vanity crap which is the main idea of the video. notice how the video goes from some innocent shit into becoming some porno. at one point, they both got naked. for some reason, people are ignoring that there is nudity in the video. he takes off his pants and we see a clear shot of his ass. why couldn't it just be them kissing and that's that? was all the undressing and nudity even necessary?
-the clear narcissism where he wants to go after so and so, get him drunk and steal the guy from his girlfriend.
my main issue was all of that necessary to get his point across. dunno about you but trying to take advantage of a straight guy because you want him, getting him drunk so you can hook up with him and sex with him not thinking about HIS feelings or his situation where he's a closet case, is fucked up if you ask me. i hate how dude at the end of the video is looking all sad like "woe is me" when he's chasing after a closet case/straight guy. what did he expect?
