Shaving?

I had a bad experience with this. Normally i just trim but occasionally shave my sack. I don't use spirit aftershave but the balsam types are really good as they don't sting and help reduce any pimpling affects.

Unfortunately, on one occasion i had run out of the balsam and the only thing i could find in the house was mild Dettol pine disinfectant. It said it was suitable for personal hygiene so i tried it, quite liberally.

At first it didn't hurt but then it started to burn. Even washing it off didn't help and my entire sack when crispy like it had sunburn. I was a little freaked to say the least. Over the next few days, my scrotum cracked and started peeling.

Once the peeling was done i had a very nice scrotum again, like brand new. Despite the happy ending, i would NOT advise this as a course of action.

Yah I wouldn't shave entirely bald, it just looks funny. When it's too bushy I trim it, but never any shaping or anything. I don't know how you can shave your balls, trim yes, but shave like with a razor?

One thing I'M wondering about is ass hair... should hairier guys get rid of that? And if so, how?!

Yep, shave with a razor. I've been doing it for many years. There was some good discussion of techniques on the 'Manscaping' topic:

Yes I have shaved at least twice that I can remember (the balls are a bit tricky), it is kind of sexy, it gives the optical illusion that your "friend" is bigger than it actually is. Right now I trim because it helps keep down the pubic hairs for my partner during oral sex.

Can vouch for the Phillips Bodygroomer. Bought one a couple of months ago. It works either dry or in the shower with lather.

Use it to trim pubes and shave the rest.

I do like the feel smooth skin. Also hides the grayicon_wink.gif

Well, I find shaved pubic hair (balls are okay but not the rest) to be really weird on a guy. To me, it seems either very feminine or prepubescent. Now I don't like women or little boys so I much prefer a guy to be simply well trimmed down there. It just seems a little vain and not very masculine. I'd much rather see some well-kept hair rather than bumps, stubble, and irritation. I keep my chest and pubic hair trimmed to various degrees but neither is ever out of control.

Hey, whatever floats your boat though.

I shave my balls. Like someone else stated in this topic, I was completely bored one day and decided to do it. Once it was done it was great, my balls just felt better all day. What I didn't know was that 3 days later that shit would start growing back and that was the most painful experience ever. I was only going to do it once but because of how the hairs itch when they grew back I had to do it again. And I haven't stopped since. That was about a year and a half ago. Sometimes I want to stop because it takes up too much time but I guess I'm stuck doing it now. Unless I go into a coma for 3 weeks or so.

And I think that shaved or unshaved is hot, just depends on the man. I had a few men that were really hairy and I loved it. Then I had one guy that shaved almost everything and I loved it too. I'm not too picky.

I shaved once, and when ti grows back, it gets all itchy. so never again. I manscape it. And Please, all men should manscape it, it's just gross to have a bushy one down there. doesn't matter how hot the guy looks, a bushy pubic is just yucky.
2nd important part is shave the ass smooth. 3rd is armpit. no need to shave all, but at least keep them trimed.
i'm blasses with hairless balls. sorry to hear some of you have to deal with shaving the balls. but i think triming is ok too, no need to cause pimples down there.

fortunately for me my dad passed on his 'practically hairless' gene!! i think i may have four hairs total on my chest and none of them touch!! lol so shaving never really has been an issue for me but for some reason i go nuts when a guy clips his armpit hair short!! i cant control myself!!! i need to nuzzle up in there. lol

strange thing, i have notice that mild b/o is actually kinda nice, on some people. But i'm talking about very mild one.
Gosh, it remind me a bad b/o i encounter at locker room. it was so potent it brought tears to my eyes. scary.

With the exception of the armpits, I HATE body hair on myself. I have to shave everywhere, I can barely stand to facial hair. I don't think it's a secure thing, but more of a personal preference. I can stand my man to have body but as far as me, none.

I use a wax just about everywhere except in the pubic region, YEAH right like I would try that, EVER. But I use a razor, I use it about three times max, it gets nasty after the third time. Yes it grows back after a few days. I never had a real problem with itching though. So no insight how to take care of that problem.

I trim everything, sometimes shave my balls. i dry shave them, just pull the skin taught. You can try nair, my friend did that with good results, and I'm about to try it as well. I also trim some chest hair, pluck some, and trim armpit and leg hair.

Meh, shave or dont shave, muscly..I wouldn't kick you out of bed either way. I trim the pubes, shave the nuts, trim the pits, and clip the chest. Its even better if you can find a hot dude to do it for you. Nothing like having your body hair trimmed by a good looking muscle guy. (I know one if you need to borrow him.)

I like my balls shaved. Yes at first the itch of the grow back was unbearable but when I kept shaving, I knew that it was to shave again. I use a blade razor and shaving cream. I shave in the shower. I need to have a clean shaven face for work and I find I get a better shave for that in the shower, so I do my balls to. Like mentioned to keep pulling the skin tight as you shave. Once you get a handle on it, it takes no time to do it. As for the bumps, they go away the more you shave. For the rest of it and the body, I just trim with a hair trimer.

I shave the pubes completely. If you want to do that, it's best that you use a razor like Gillette Fusion. The shave is really smooth. The more you shave, the skin eventually get used to it and no longer have the red bumps.

When I don't have time to shave with a razor, I use my electric beard shaver on the pubes and it does just a good job just with less nicks and cuts.

I prefer the razor since it clears off dead/dull skin cells so that the skin becomes nice and soft.

Tried shaving my pubes once. Ugh, never again. I can't be bothered with all that maintenance. Looks weird, too. It would appear that I'm in the minority.

The 1st time I shaved my pubes, I was about 14. I've done it off and on ever since. Right now they're getting out of hand (pardon the pun) again. I find if the hair is too long it causes some problems too. (like the elastic on my underware catching...ouch!)

This is a very interesting topic. I shave it all off. Tend to do that every few days to make sure that it's not too itchy or uncomfortable. That's how I am here.
