I just got back from seeing this groundbreaking film

and I needed to tell you guys and everyone out there
get out and see this movie

Gus Van Zant has somehow tapped into what Homosexuals are going through right now by bringing up this heroic man
I remember being a young boy and being frightened by the Anita Bryants of the world and he went out there and fought them
    and he died for us
Sean Penn was fantastic and at his very best in this role
so much so that sometimes I didn't even know it was him

There are very few movies that I feel make me a better man for seeing and this was one of them

I saw it Thanksgiving Day. It was amazing to see that we are waging basically the same battle that was fought in Calif 30 years ago.

I agree that Penn's performance is fantastic. He has Milk down to an almost spooky degree.

Saw it on Tuesday night at the premier in the Castro Theatre. What a great film and group to see it with.

Dont miss it guys and take all of your friends and family. It will help them to understand what is really happeneing with prop 8. You are right. History does repeat itself!

Yes there were some very spooky similarities but what made me
feel somewhat better was that Harvey Milk and the rest were fighting for is in most places taken for granted today

I know that we are discriminated against everyday
but I think if someone even tried to come up with something like the Briggs Bill (automatic firing of homosexual teachers) today they'd be laughed off the stage
