I used to like to include bananas in my diet, mainly putting them in the blender with other fruit/protein for a shake. However, because of their high glycemic count, I eliminated bananas. But I know bananas have other health benefits so unless I decide to lose massive amounts of body fat -- I range between 12-15% and weight 175-180 and work out about 4-5 times per week -- am I doing more harm than good in terms of nutrition by getting rid of the bananas? Or is it best to avoid the sugar no matter what?
