  This assumes a level of certainty that things turn out well for you and that you can be happy with whatever you have in the future. But to really claim such wouldn't it require a level of foresight and capacity that few ever can have but for the gods and the philosophers around us?

  It's also a response to a widespread belief in our society that being GAY is more inferior. And maybe guys here want to push back against that daily reality that many face, that wants to make us second-class citizens.
  
  Because being gay IS awesome. So is being straight awesome, if that's what you are. The trick is to know which one you are (that for a long time I did not), and then to accept and live that life. That's how you make yourself happy and feel awesome. Not by trying to be something you're not, nor being discontent when you can't be something else, and certainly not by being miserable with what you are.
  
  Guys saying they love being gay tells me they've found that formula for happiness. That should be nothing to criticize.
