ESPN has decided to replace Joe Theisman with Ron Jaworski on Monday Night Football telecasts this fall. They'll still have Mike Tirico and Tony Kornheiser in the booth.

Change was due, and I'm NOT a Theisman fan, but I'm not sure Jaworski is the answer. I'd have like to see ESPN use the opportunity to promote one of their younger announcers from the college telecasts - like Chris Spielman - or bring one of the younger seasoned guys from their NFL pre-game shows - Steve Young or Sean Salisbury or Merrill Hodge. Jaworski doesn't seem like the answer for drawing in the younger viewer.

I am not a huge Joe Thiesman fan, but I am not sure if Ron Jaworski will make it better. They need a personality. I think Chris Spielman would be an excellent choice. He gets very animated when there is a huge hit and he does know his football.

AMEN on both fronts! I wasn't really a fan of Theisman, although I don't know if Jaws is the right fit.

When it comes to giving astute insight to the Cover 2 defense, I'm all about Jaws. However, I don't see him energetic enough for the booth.

Frankly, I'm all about Spielman. He's a good looking guy, high energy, and he knows the game.
