    Hey everyone,

I heard that the best on skin products are made from food products.

I was wondering if anyone know of a book or website that has recipes made from food products (such as fruits, oils, etc) that are successfull in cleaning and moisturizing the skin on the face and body? Also maybe even soaps and shampoos?

Also, does anybody have experiences with this?

I am already eating a healthy diet full of fruits, veggies, cod liver oil, potatoes, rice, squash, whole grains and fish. But now I want to replace my cleanser and moisturizer to more natural home made products.

i saw a cool line for various skin types. i saw carrot, tomato, cucumber, berry, and melon. they had all-natural ingredients. what can they hurt? you absorb into your body whatever you put on your skin. it stands to reason that rubbing food on you isn't bad for it. how good it actually is? i dunno... i haven't tried them. i went for the burt's bee honey body butter instead... oh wait... honey is food too (but that one has a reputation going back to ancient egypt to back it up)

I use olive oil cooking spray for a body moisturiser - just make sure it's 100% organic virgin olive oil. You just spray yourself down while still wet in the shower and then pat yourself dry. Be careful, because the shower tiles can get very slippery and and you'll have to give them a wash with soap to get the oil off.

I have never used a store bought product that was better than this.
