I have an identical twin and he's straight.

If you and I are just brothers, and I was gay, you'd have around a 6-10% chance of also being gay... not any higher than the general population (unless our mom had a lot of boys, but that's another story all together).

If you and I are fraternal twins, and I was gay, you'd have a 30% chance of also being gay. We're not any more genetically related than any of my other non-twin brothers, yet somehow your chances just went much higher.

If you and I are identical twins, and I was gay, you have a 60% chance of also being gay. This suggests that there's some interaction of environment (including the womb and the hormones that washed over us) and genetics (i.e. DNA). In fact, that's exactly what scientists are becoming more sure of... that's there some interaction going on. Very complex stuff.

My twin and I are mirror images. I'm gay he's straight, I'm righty, he's lefty. He's a bit more quiet and I'm less so. The other day we were listening to the same thing on the radio, but didn't know it (he's in another city)and we were typing on Skype and we both asked each other the same question at the same time: "Are you listening to this?" At first I thought there was a mistake and then I realized he'd asked me what I'd asked him. I am also one of four (quadruplet) and I'm the only gay one. Three boys and 1 girl and I have two other siblings as well (not twins).

There is a higher incidence of identical twins being gay than 2 ordinary siblings being gay, particularly if the twins have older brothers.

Sort of on topic: I and a second cousin are the only openly or suspect gay members of the family. Coincidentally and sad to an extent, we are the only members of the last three generations able to pass on our direct ancestral name. No worries, earlier bred generations mated like crazy.
