Even though the National Bike Challenge has ended, we have not stopped biking here in Wisconsin. We want to win the People's Choice Award for best unit in the Appleton Christmas parade with a team of 75 cyclists. The parade is held on the Tuesday evening before Thanksgiving and has over 100 units, including over 20 high school marching bands. The parade drew over 80,000 people last year. If you are planning to visit Wisconsin that week and are able to bring your bike, you are more than welcome to join us. Just let me know. We will have a practice on Tuesday evening next week and we will be decorating our bikes with Christmas lights and there will also be an award for the best decorated bike. Even if you can't make the practice, you can still join us. Our formation won't be too difficult to learn and just follow the bike in front of you. lol Last year was our first year and we had good comments from a lot of people, including Green Bay Channel 5, who televised the parade live last year. The kids just loved all the lights on our bikes.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Also seeing all those sexy, athletic, male cyclists in cycling tights on their awesome road and tri bikes is also a great incentive to join in the fun in Appleton.
