They do, don't they? Including southbeach1500, who claims he made a "truce" with me. You can see in this thread how good he was to his word. icon_razz.gif

In any case, I'm loving this kilt, which is what this thread is about. I've become a great enthusiast about kilts for men. There are a number of companies in the US that sell them, that you might want to Google.

This one is from Utilikilt in Seattle. I first saw them when I lived there.

They have a tree house they go to, to reveal their true identities to one another, and plot to destroy the RJers who stand in their way of converting gays into republicans.

Actually, thanks to global cooling, it's a bit chilly up in the tree house so we'll retreat to the bunker for the next few months if you don't mind.

To be clear, it was Art Deco who started it all by harassing these conservative gay men- some of us are tired of his bullshit--

How was I "harrassing" conservatives by talking about my new kilt, that you all had to descend upon me in a coordinated attack from your off-site treehouse?

Yah know, your pattern is rather obvious. I said nothing about conservatives, this thread has nothing to do with politics. It's about a fucking KILT I'm wearing.

Which, BTW, is lovely. I can't tell you how much I like wearing it. And I suppose I should thank you for bumping this thread, and giving it more exposure. Even as you guys try to disrupt & derail it. icon_biggrin.gif

ummmm... You referring to me? Dozens of guys here have met me in person, I don't think any would characterize me as "effeminate". Not that effeminate is bad, just not what I am. But I'll leave that judgment to those who have met me..

OK I dont know if effeminate is the right word, but Ive seen pictures of you and you look very gay cliche, I picture some scottish watching you walk in a kilt and it cracks me up for the reason I just said. Notice I have nothing against you, and im not saying looking gay is bad, but just you in a kilt under these conditions is very awkward in my opinion.

I don't know what pictures you saw of me. Your own picture is a soccer ball, in an empty profile. I have done some silly drag stuff, just for laughs. I say again, ask guys here who have met me in person. Or meet me yourself.

I'm proud to be gay, and don't disguise it. But neither am I a gay cliche or stereotype. I sense a bit of hostility from you, and wonder if you're entirely comfortable with your own orientation. I'm out & proud. Are you? I hope you are.

    Not being critical here.......

BUT, why do you boast and brag about things like this in a "JOCK" fitness place? I mean it seems ODD to me. I guess it's better to wear a man skirt than a speed o in some cases. Not sure it's beach attireicon_wink.gif

Not beach attire. As I've said a number of times, it's gay resort attire. We're not on the beach, but in a gated, clothing optional gay guest house, with pool.

Do sharpen your reading comprehension skills. And the things we talk about in the RJ forums are very wide-ranging. Something related to a 165-mile bicycle ride to raise money for HIV/AIDS does not seem unrelated. Are you the Topic Nazi for this site now?

I'd say the Scottish have been pretty successful in making the kilt look masculine.

Guys who toss telephone poles around on weekends as a hobby could easily drop-kick a scrawny Uruguayan twink across a futbol field.

LOL! I've been wearing the kilt in public outside the resort grounds more and more. Walked down Duval St. to Walgreens this morning to buy some stuff. I love this thing!

Of course by now it needed some cleaning, since I just have the one. But it's cotton/poly, so I just gave it a kitchen sink wash and air dried (the care instructions say no dryer, although the pleats are sewn in, another nice non-traditional modern convenience, like the pockets).

43rueperronet saidMore kilt talk from the Deco's journal/blog. One can never create enough threads about kilts.

Then why bump it? What is your purpose? I posted this back in November.

    Clockwork-Grue-Obligatory-fat-guy-in-ski

I think I look kinda cute in my kilt, ya know? My husband and I walk in the parade in downtown Wilton Manors and we raised a hundred thousand dollars over the weekend for gay causes. Of course, the mayor is our personal friend / we had him over for hors d'oeuvres and cocktails just last night / along with about 40 of our closest personal friends / all of whom are important movers & shakers in our little town. I'll post pictures so you all will be able to see the whole party / since you couldn't be there. But just let us know when you're coming to our little town, and we'll host you for dinner at our place. It's just what we do, ya know? We can certainly afford it, so why not?

By the way / I am no longer morbidly obese. My weight now is down 70 pounds and so now I'm just a little overweight, ya know? And how do you like my tats? I got them while I served in the military as a Colonel! Well, maybe not a Colonel, but it was so long ago, and I was straight then / who can fault me for not remembering exactly? I've lived more and been through more than any of YOU will ever experience. I've escorted presidents / kings / in fact, they call on me especially when they come to town. I truly am important. You will all do well to not forget that!

Actually, about half of that would be true. And your post reeks of petty envy.

As for my kilt, I'm becoming a big fan of them. Got my first about 6 years ago for a theme party, with a matching one for my husband. Have gotten 2 more for myself since, and look for opportunities to wear them.

Originally intended as resort wear at our favorite Key West gay guest house, I really think they're a natural & logical men's garment. My non-traditional US-made ones have pockets, so they're as practical as pants.

I'm trying to expand the envelope where I can wear them. This recent St.Patrick's Day just gave me a good opportunity, and other guys were out wearing their kilts, too. So it isn't just me, you nasty, ignorant little twit. icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks! Well, as we said when I taught Army battlefield tactics, sometimes the best defense is a good offense.
