Since when, ExMil, is ASKing a question out of anyone's book, except a rhetorician's?

Asking a question may not be, but phrases such as "Just deflect, deny, and demonize; straight out of Alinsky." and "Charlatan-in-Chief" are very Limbaugh-esque.

Most people here have learned that trying to engage in reasoned debate with gay conservatives is a waste of time. Don't be surprised when you're left to answer your own 'questions'.

Arguing with conservatives is like trying to play chess with pigeons
They knock over the pieces, crap all over the board, and then strut around like they've 'won'

It appears that hiring decisions are being made independent of riddler and southbeach's continued dire warnings.

TomSOCAL saidObama wasn't responsible for creating new jobs. He hasn't implemented any policies that would create job growth or decrease the deficit.

At this point the Republican Congress should cut tax RATES in order to create jobs, and raise tax REVENUES. That's what JFK, Clinton, Bush, and Reagan did, and it worked for all four of them. ...

Sincerely - TOMSOCAL, your "Voice of Independence in the Desert"icon_biggrin.gificon_biggrin.gif

Thank YOU for answering my question when others repeatedly ignored or deflected it. And, I agree w/ your economic points as well.

    An Alternative View:

Republicans warned us from the beginning that Obama was Hell bent on "WRECKING THE US ECONOMY".

After 50 consecutive months of economic growth and reducing deficit spending by half...

Perhaps President Obama is simply inept at achieving his goal of destroying America.

    Happy now?

I don't think that was his objective - and I highly doubt that Republicans actually believe that was his objective either. What a lot of people have believed is that he was an ideologue. That he has sought increased control over the economy in a quixotic quest for "fairness" / power and in doing so, has resulted in one of the worst recoveries on record.

Determinate said", I have to wonder what positive things you feel he has actually done to improve economic growth beyond spending?"

    Such a good question, riddler.

Politifact did some checking on Obama's claims to have cut the debt in half from 2009 to 2013.

Politifact found that Obama's claim was wrong. HE HAD CUT THE DEFICIT BY MORE THAN HALF!

"Our analysis showed the drop easily topped 50 percent, and was actually somewhat higher than Obama's chart would indicate.

As a share of the economy, we found -- and our experts confirmed -- the drop was from 9.8 percent in 2009 to 4.1 percent in 2013."

riddler, socal, MG and southbeach------Why are you making yourselves miserable?

Another example of why it is pointless to try and discuss these kinds of issues with many liberals. They don't know the difference between the debt and the deficit.

If they don't even know the difference between these two, it's impossible to continue the discussion to matters of baseline budgeting and the negative impact of higher taxes on economic activity.

The RJ discussions with the liberals in the past were better. At least there were some discussions based on reason even if there were substantial ideological differences. Those RJ liberals have gone away or at least are not active. The current batch is the JV team at best, to borrow a phrase. icon_lol.gif

TomSOCAL saidGay Republicans have yet to come on this forum and explain why their party has refused to do the following -

    1. Why doesn't the Republican party pass a non-employment discrimination act in Congress for the GLBT community? Then, states such as Arizona, would have to hire gays (Arizona and many southern states have no protections for gays and employers can refuse to hire gays.)

    2. Why doesn't the Republican party pass a single payor plan for health care, which would cover many in our GLBT community?
We make half the median income if we are in one earner households, since married people make twice the income.

    3. Why doesn't the Republican party establish domestic partnerships for federal workers?

    4. Why do Republicans not support overturning free trade agreements that sent manufacturing jobs overseas?

    5. Why doesn't the Republican party support raising the minimum wage? Again this would help many single income GLBT households with no significant other.

Gay Democrats have yet to come on here and explain -

    1. Why do they support Obama Care when it isn't working and is unconstitutional? Why not have a single payor plan like in Canada (ie Medicare for all), where it actually works in Canada and Sweden.

    2. Why has Obama refused to raise the federal minimum wage in 6 years, even when he had 100% control of Congress? Again, this would help single income earners in GLBT households.

    3. Why has Obama refused to cancel free trade agreements that have sent manufacturing jobs overseas?

    4. How can they defend Obama's "policies" when median incomes have fallen in his 6 years of presidency?

    5. How can they defend Obama when he has refused to cut tax RATES, which worked under other Democrat party presidents, including Clinton and JFK?

Among many other issues . . . Both parties have major problems. Time for a "populist" candidate.

    According to Hillary Clinton,
Businesses or corporations do not create jobs.

So, All this growth must be due to Government giving people employment.

    3. America bandies that it is a free market economy. To do so would negate this idea as it is protectionist measure. Jobs would not be shifted overseas if there wasn't a competitive advantage to do so. Blame us the consumers who want cheap stuff.

I would like everyone to explain why Obama refused to stop the rain falling in CT today.

True. These are some of the same people who think that added regulation creates jobs nevermind all the actual productive job losses being replaced by lawyers and bean counters...
