Funny to read the guys who say that they don't trust any news source so Fox is no disappointment.
I hope these guys don't have to make any decisions in real life.

Many Jews avoid spelling out "God". There is a Biblical reason for that. Perhaps a Jew here can explain it better than I could.

The Torah forbids writing the name of God. In Hebrew scripture, "Adonai" (God) is abbreviated with two yuds---they look like this: ''

Even more strictly, the seriously Orthodox will only say "Adonai" as part of specific prayers. In daily usage, they refer to "Hashem", which means literally "The Name" or, to put it more gothically, "He Who Cannot Be Named".

So wait a minute. Sharky are you saying that God is Lord Voldemort?

Rowing_Ant saidSo, OK. According to Fox News, Birmingham in the UK - where I have friends and have visited - is entirely Muslim and non-Muslims can't go there; that Sharia law is enforced.

Complete and utter rubbish of the highest order.

But yet, no doubt some idiots will hoover it up. I don't think the "reporter" has ever left the US

    ARGH.

(Oh and yes, obviously I have a left-wing, pro Obama bias because Fox News is the fount of all wisdom icon_rolleyes.gif ).

Fox News attempt to demonize the reputation of Netherlands by calling them out on their "liberal" drug laws and is "one of Europe's violent countries."

What Fox News doesn't really is that the Netherlands have a very very very strict drug law, it is prohibited to have "coffee shop" by school within some amount of mile radius. The government constantly come up with bogus excuses in order to shut down these shops. The Prime Minister of the Netherlands is against marijuana usage and call it "trash". According to my cousin in Germany, you can't purchase weed without a Nederlands ID.

I still don't understand why people still watch this shit.

What's ironic is that the woman interviewing him (can't remember her name; it's Judge-something) went on to make much more incendiary comments about how we need to arm 1.6 billion Muslims so that they can kill the 200,000 million supposed extremists within their religion. (I'm paraphrasing it. It sounded a lot more bloodthirsty the way she actually said it.)

    "arm 1.6 billion Muslims"

Well, that's one way I suppose, but I'd prefer not to arm any Muslims.

I'm sure there's a clip floating around. She came off as a genocidal maniac.

I happened to have Fox on when she came on the air... I didn't hear the comment you're talking about. I was too busy emailing Fox about having a 50+ year old woman in a black leather low cut dress on as a news show host who's called a judge of anything besides inappropriate wardrobe.

If you want to hear genocidal maniacs you should listen to more of the immigrant muslims who've come to the US and aren't afraid to speak up about Islam and what needs to be done. They make Glenn Beck sound like a pacifist. And the ones I'm talking about are college educated doctors, psychiatrists, engineers and even some former jihadists and members of the Saudi royal family.

Where did you read that? xD

One thing that's very clear is Fox News is a joke of a news source. It's only means is to deliver hate their brain dead viewership.

Good luck trying to find facts to back that up.

RE "Where I read that" I didn't. I interact with some Muslim Immigrants to the US both professionally and socially. I depend on them for a great deal of my opinions on Islam and their culture. Not commercial news sources or internet spin factories. If I have questions about Islam I ask individual people who know it best and avoid the ones trying to wholesale their political and social ideologies. You ought to try it.

You know if you're going to engage in a polemic against something or someone you don't like ... it's best to have your FACTS straight.

FOX NEWS didn't say any such thing. A guest they had on made that claim. I'm not sure you can see the difference but there is.

As a liberal, would you want to be held accountable for everything that some of the guest on Al Sharpton's MSNBC show say?????

I used to watch Rachel Maddow and then she spent 3 solid months night after night on the New Jersey bridge scandal under the banner "Breaking News" while ignoring every other news story for the most part.

Treating that story like it was a combination of cancer and a terrorist attack told me everything I needed to know about Maddow and MSNBC as a fair and factual news source.

One of my favorite Faux News faux pas was when Jon Stewart busted them showing alleged footage of a tea party rally in DC. The demonstration in question had taken place on a clear November day but the footage showed a cloudy day on the Washington mall w the trees in full summer foliage.

What you say should be obvious but to those who are dishonest ideologues it doesn't matter. When this is pointed out, these same people say Fox is still responsible because they booked the guest. A guest may have good credentials, but can make mistakes and with live programs the mistakes are broadcast. When pointed out, they correct the record. Happens with media including newspapers, including their beloved NY Times (e.g. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jayson_Blair).

Networks are not responsible for false statements their guests make, but that is the difference between reporting the news, and commenting on it. FOX and MSNBC are not news networks. They are strictly commentary.

And while an opinion network (I'm loath to call them "news" networks) isn't responsible for the accuracy of statements by their guests, a responsible news organization would, first, fact-check those statements and retract anything that was not correct, and second, not invite back guests who have a habit of being wrong.

Right now, A fox news report is being reported in big french medias. It is surrealist and all the French are laughing.
There's a so called "specialist" who claims that there are a few hundred "no-go zones" for non-Muslim people in France. He says that in those zones, the police has no right and that only muslim people can go. (There is a map of paris showing some of those no-go zones, and I go through some of them almost everyday, and many of my friends live in those). He calls those zones "banlieues" in French (when this word just means "suburbs"... Awesome for a "specialist").
He also explains that 20% of the French support Isis (I'd like to know where he found that number).

I saw that something similar happened a few days ago when an other Fox news 'specialist' said that Birmingham was not controlled by the UK government anymore, but was a little islamic state inside the country. All the British people laughed. Now it's French people who laugh.

I think it was them, a few years ago, when there was students protests and some riots in Paris about a government project. They explained that France was in "civil war", and the whole Paris on fire (on their, map, they had somehow put Paris in Germany).

When I see that American news show such bullshit, I understand better all the shit I read here about "Muslims invading Europe and imposing Chariah" and calls to deport all Muslims.

Bingo! That's why the republicans have been the laughingstock of US politics for the last decade.

Roger Ailes - the guy who runs Fox and controls every detail - was a paid consultant/propagandist for the Repub party during the Nixon presidency.
He came up with the idea for Fox back then:

    http://gawker.com/5814150/roger-ailes-secret-nixon-era-blueprint-for-fox-news

and he created Fox in the 1990's after getting financing from fellow right-winger Rupert Murdoch.

    There's NO debate.
Fox is a propaganda outlet for the Repub party.
And they lie their asses of on a regular basis.

If you argue against that fact, then you're simply a brainwashed brain-dead Repub sheep - trying desperately to defend the propaganda channel and party you support.

"Fair and balanced" is the biggest lie of them all
