I'm not talking about the "Can You Take The Guy Above You" threads here. Was just curious to know whether any two RJ'ers have ever actually met and gotten their fight on. There have to be some stories waiting to be told.
Several of my friends who I go way back with, and I, still end up managing to get into some rasslin' when we meet up most of the time. They're all straight and they all know I'm not, it's not like that. Just good clean guy fun. I don't foresee the same kind of thing happening in the RJ world. But it's still enjoyable dreaming up bouts with an online buddy and sending a recap of the imaginary match to them. So far I've done this with 3 guys:
Btler tore me to pieces in a folkstyle meet a couple of weeks ago. His pics don't lie. The man is relentless.
I was super eager to go toe to toe with Coachfan because we're only 3 pounds apart in weight but have very different builds. Last weekend we finally had our freestyle submission match in jockstraps. It was BRUTAL. He unleashed his impressive upper-body strength right from the beginning and the advantage kept shifting back and forth. But just over eleven minutes into the fight I was able to apply a textbook chicken-wing and prevail. Outstanding match. Took a lot out of me though.
Just last night I climbed into the ring for a pro-style Speedo challenge with bleumoon1001. The odds were stacked against me because of his considerable height and weight advantages. But of course I didn't let that stop me. We had a blast! My proudest moment was when I reeled off an arching belly-to-back suplex (adrenaline is your friend.) The whole ring shook when he landed. At the ten-minute time limit the bout was declared a draw.
We enjoyed wrestling each other so much we'll be stuffing singlets into our gym bags and meeting on the mats for an amateur-style scrap very soon.
Sparkie keeps after me to get into the ring with him. But he outweighs me by some 65 pounds so NO WAY.
Anyways, my RJ war stories are all made up but it's still neat to have connected with the guys who appreciate them. Now I'll head off to the locker room & free up the thread.
