ThatSwimmerGuy saidJmusmc85 has amazing relationship advice.

Giving advice (and I'd hardly call his "amazing", just amazingly BAD), is not the same as being a role model. A role model means having a life which others strive to emulate in their own lives, in this case gay couples, per the thread title.

Now where is the evidence that jmusmc85 is part of a gay couple, and when have we ever heard details about it? His empty profile doesn't even indicate if he's in any kind of relationship whatsoever.

I fail to see how that can qualify as a role model, unless it's for gay couples on the down-lo.

Well, all this proves is that he's a horrible role model for our gay youth. Look at those cheap flip flops behind him. He's inadvertently teaching our gay youth it's okay to buy 99 cent flip flops at the Circle K. You would think if he can pay his $78.00 gym membership he should have a little left over for quality footwear. I bet they smell like athlete's foot and cha cha queen. icon_neutral.gif

They help a bit, on the right occasion. Especially the eyeglasses, and certain other accessories. You pull out a cheap giveaway plastic pen from your pocket to sign your name, versus a Cross pen or something else quality, and I'm gonna mark you down.

What helps me is my preppy dress & mannerisms (I actually attended prep school), along with my speaking voice & vocabulary.

Leaving the tongue-in-cheek comments aside for a moment, to actually get serious - my late Mother told me that people would judge me first the moment I opened my mouth, by my voice and my vocabulary. If I sounded important & knowledgable, I would BE important & knowledgable.

Of course I better have something to back-up my pretensions, I better know what the Hell I'm talking about, an illusion can't be sustained indefinitely. But Mother was right - people judge you by external signals.

The brightest guy will be considered a goofball is he sounds like a goofball. If you wanna be respected and taken seriously, you've gotta sound like it. It was true when I was in the Army, it's true in business, it's true in many personal exchanges.

Now you can argue the fairness of that, but I think the real-world reality is undeniable.

I'll be glad to give you a proper jpg. Let me know. Then you can add that caption again. icon_smile.gif

What I mean when I say this doesn't make any sense is that for all your or pretensious materialism and self imposed seniority, you still aren't well respected on here.

You claim momma says if you want to be taken seriously and respected you must speak so. You throw big words around and long winded stories but they offer little substance. All this and you have still very clearly divided the forums. Very few people here actually like you, much less respect you.

I guess momma was wrong on this one...

Yep, that's me. Made up for an event, that raised money for HIV/AIDS. How horrible is THAT???

Although that's not my caption on that pic. Put there by a guy who does NOTHING for the gay community, or HIV/AIDS causes. Merely mocks those who do. As do most of my critics here, while contributing nothing.

And that's why they attack me here, and others who try to contribute to our community. Because they are trying to undermine & sabotage it. But most of us here know that.

Do you listen to a lot of conspiracy theory radio shows?

Unlike Right Wingers, I don't listen to any radio talk shows, or Fox News on TV. Just classical music, and Broadway show tunes. Do you think they're making me a raving lefty? icon_eek.gif

The only things you contribute to the gay community
are large quantities of alcohol consumption and many migraine headaches on these boards

To a low-grade moron I guess that would be true. I can't remember anything notable you've ever contributed here, except gratuitous insults, to half the guys here. You've made offending others your RJ calling card.

The problem with being too free with your insults, hun, is that they become worthless over time. As you are. icon_biggrin.gif
