I guess that saying ... That you can't make a Tiger lose it's stripes is true

G.O.P. Forces Delay on Attorney General
    Published: January 21, 2009

Mr Arlen Spector the Minority leader on the judiciary committee
is the one doing the holding on his nomination
WHY... Would he do this? When he said that the nomination is basically assured?

"Mr. Holder’s ultimate confirmation still appears all but assured."

Hmmm ..... What does the Atty General do?
The attorney general is charged with enforcing federal laws, furnishing legal counsel in federal cases, construing the laws under which other executive departments act, supervising federal penal institutions, and investigating violations of federal laws. He is the Chief Law Enforcement Officer for the United States

Why hold up the Chief Law Enforcement Officer of the United States?

"Just one day after George W. Bush left office, an NSA whistleblower has revealed that the National Security Agency's warrantless surveillance program targeted U.S. journalists, and vacuumed in all domestic communications of Americans, including, faxes, phone calls and network traffic."
This took place as far as the Courts are concerned MARCH 15, 2004
    Why is that important?
The Statute of Limitations on Wiretapping is five years
Now I KNOW Mr Spector is capable of COUNTING

Bush and crew are no longer public officials
an inquiry by Congress cannot do anything with them after office
    It's up to the DOJ
    Mr Holder to bring charges
    TICK>>> TICK>>> TICK

Republicans are politically impotent right now and the only "power" they have right now is to obstruct and delay. Look at Rep. Boehner's whiney approaches to Obama's stimulus plan to which Obama summed up the entire situation: "I won."

The Republicans didn't just lose the Presidential election, they also lost significant ground amongst the electorate. The things that Obama promised in the campaign are becoming realities, whether bipartisan or not. The Republican losses are nothing short of a mandate.

And I'd like to also point out to the Republicans that since the Democrats took majority of Congress in 2006, albeit with a slim margin, the Democrats found themselves having to concede the Iraq War timetables because they didn't have enough political clout. Now it's the Republicans without the clout and they still expect to have any type of influence on a liberal agenda. Get real, Republicans.

The GOP is scared shitless at their future. Their party is in disarray and Obama defeated the only campaign political card, social issues, all the while our economic and foreign policy issues that the Republicans propped up are crashing down and revealing their worthlessness.

The Obama plan is to sweep in as much as possible this year so that the effect of these changed policies can show its successes before the Republicans can gain any political ground.

PREDICTION: The more successful Obama is as President, the more likely the GOP will become extinct.

There have been a bunch of other nominees that did not get out of committee and for reasons not nearly as big as Holder's Mark Rich connections. Democrats did the same thing with Bush nominees. That is how the game works and Holder should be AG after a vote on the Senate floor.

Lets just wait a year as no person / party is perfect, not even the goodies two shoe left. lets see what crack start too show..

But I'm not looking at this leadership on the domestic front. Remember while the USA plays Big Brother to the world. We all have a right in a say.

Please give the world back it's sovereignty.

There are too many liberals running around saying we have an obligation to 'help'.

I say screw the rest of the world. But that won't happen because our country has been manipulated by greedy SOBs with the result that we are dependent on foreign lands. Our government unlawfully taxes the population under threat and then sends it to other countries.

It's all fail. The powerful will elevate the powerful to ensure their continuation.

I wonder if people really think that a democratically elected government is synonymous with the will of the people. When the choices are chosen for you, saying eny, meny, miny or mo has no value. Hell, more people can vote for one candidate and the other win. What a joke.

I'm all for the olden days. Don't like 'em? Chop their heads off.

    My name's Aaron, and I'm a separatist.
