What the hell? Size and weight are screwy

So I'm going on the end of the first month doing the RealJock Strength Foundation Training and the 1800-calorie diet...and I have yet to lose a pound. I'm doing weights, abdominal exercises, and cardio...and my weight hasn't changed one bit.

Now that's not to say my size hasn't changed. I am getting slimmer in the waist. I've actually thrown out two pairs of pants that were too big, bought one new pair that fits better, and actually made another notch in my belt. Some of my fellow co-workers I job-trained with are getting a good chuckle out of it cuz I still have to wear bigger pants until I buy more and my shirts are falling off my shoulders and the sleeves go past my wrists.

I walk nearly 1.5 miles to work and the same back home 5 days a week, I do cardio 5 days a week, and the weights/strength-training 3 days a week. For my cardio, I use an elliptical machine because, like I said, I walk to work so I want something more than that. Mind you, I have been doing the walking since October...maybe I'm getting used to it? I don't know.

So anyway, what the hell?! I'm stuck on a 200lb plateau. I do see change, but it's not as much as or the kind I think I should see. And since I do see change, I know something's working. Should I add something?

Whatever the case, I'm proud of what I have achieved so far...just look at the progress via my belt.

and, yes, I know I need to buy a new one...especially since the tip of the belt has made it's way to my hip icon_razz.gif

could be many reasons, perhaps, as you decrease your total fat percentage your building muscle which weights more.. or maybe your body has decided that 1800 calories is not for you and wont give up anything for it..

1800 calories seems tiny but I can't say anything about it because I eat so much..

You might be happy to know, I had the same problem, smaller waist but pants aren't fitting me anymore cause of my arse..

    Good for you man!

If you go to a gym, see if you can get your bodyfat percentage measured. That will give you a more accurate idea of where you are.

if you are loosing inches off the waist and not dropping weight then it´s a body composition change. The same thing happened to me in my first month of going to the gym. I lost 2 inches.
