Luckydog76 saidLove the rain. Also have a CD- "Thundering Rainstorm" that puts me to sleep every night, usually within minutes. If feeling a little nostalgic, will whip out my Irma Thomas CD and enjoy " It's Raining", her signature song.
I actually have a bedside electronic sound generator, to help me sleep when my tinnitus (ringing in the ears) gets bad. It has about 20 different sound options, a number of them rain, mountain brooks, seashore & thunderstorm. But I avoid the water sounds, afraid they'll make me wet the bed! LOL!
Interestingly, it also has "city sounds" with car horns honking and such, I guess for city dwellers who can't sleep if they're somewhere that lacks those background noises. And really weird, a steam locomotive sound, that totally perplexes me, a fast, driving "chug-chug-chug-chug, chug-chug-chug-chug" sound.
I'll play it for friends for amusement, and tell them we once had it going during sex, and broke the bed apart! LMAO!
