I have been wanting to work out for a while to loose weight, but I feel like I lack motivation for it. I wanted to know why some of you work out and maintain your body in a healthy shape. Anything will help. icon_redface.gif

I think the best motivator for a man is to find someone he wants to impress

I'm the same way. Going to a gym sounds boring as hell. I go hiking instead. I over eat though due to depression. When you are sad and depressed it's hard to get motivated. You think this is the case with you? My advice. Start somewhere or like @mt4561 said think about how good you're going to look for a guy you want to impress even if you don't know who that may be. Or think about how good you are going to feel. Being overweight or unhealthy adds to depression.

The only ones who will be impressed will be below his league at the point he achieves such a change.

Working out becomes a life style. I started working out at 16 and have done so ever since. Working out is like any other activity you do, you have to make it part of your daily or weekly routine. Don't make it a dreaded activity, but look forward to trying to make yourself feel better. Start with a short amount of time at the gym, do what you like, maybe some cardio and then add stuff. If you put in some effort you will feel better afterward guarantee.

For me it has to be convenient, and enjoyable. I work out at home and use some of the Beachbody programs. What I have found is that even on the days I don't feel like it....if I just get started, within 10-minutes I'm into it. Sometimes I have to force myself, but the results and overall benefit to my quality of life make it worth the ffort.
