The website may be Russian but the research and the "warning" appears to have come from the University of Winchester, in the UK.
It's kind of funny really. The type of relationship now known as a "bromance" has been very prevalent throughout history. It's only been in the last few decades (post-WWII) that str8 guys have suddenly gotten all squeamish about showing affection for each other. Up to and including the Depression era it was normal for brothers to share a bed, often a quite small one, and guys thought nothing of sharing a bed with a friend, when traveling or even as roommates if finances were tight. But somehow these researchers have decided that the modern culture of homophobia is "normal", and deviating from it poses a threat to women. WTF???
Sounds like typical British heterosexual insecurity to me.
