What was the story on a teacher fired from a catholic school for either living with his partner or marrying him? I saw the story in a newspaper, but I didn't get to read it. Where was the school and what was the result of the firing? Metta, do you know?

You could easily grow old reading all the stories of gay teachers fired by Catholic schools. Here's a recent one that may be the one you're thinking of, from Indianapolis. The twist here is that it involves two Catholic school teachers who married each other - one worked for Cathedral High School, the other for Brebeuf Jesuit Prep School. The Catholic Archdiocese of Indianapolis ordered both men fired by their respective schools. Cathedral High complied, but the Jesuit prep school refused. The Jesuit school was stripped of its ties to the Catholic church.

By the way, I found this by doing a web search on "teacher fired". This story was the fifth result that came up, following stories about teachers who were fired for refusing to use the proper transgender pronouns, for making racist comments, for filming porn in a classroom after hours (!), and for making Facebook posts that supported abortion. I know it's a scary thought, but you might risk doing a web search on your own next time...
