I remember hearing this saying when I was younger and it was part of what made me look forward to when I eventually got into the dating scene (I was like 16 when I first heard that and it was part of what made me initially excited when I discovered this site many years ago). But obviously the reality is that Muscular guys aren't into twinks or smaller guys (non-jock ones I mean. I know some Bodybuilders are attracted to smaller muscular guys). People who probably recognize my username know I would I talk about my unrequited attraction to Muscular guys and liking the size difference that could come with it. Being the smaller spoon to the bigger spoon. And how I genuinely like my body just the way it (especially as my legs filled out through constant leg exercise routine)
I don't think I'll ever be not attracted to these kinds of guys but I know I won't find the opposite who would be into me because I don't want to look like them or even chiseled. But it did make me wonder; How did this stereotype come to be? Was it mostly just a wishful thinking stereotype created by Twinks? Because in my experience, I've only met one ex-bodybuilder who claimed he was into smaller guys but he was bisexual and he vastly preferred women, plus he was like 55 when he spoke to me when I was 21-22. And ever since I got my job working front desk at a job, I noticed that a lot of Muscular guys can be quite rude to me (examples = just giving this annoyed look when I say hello to them or when I say to them "Have a good night" 'the manager wants us to say this').
So all this just makes me wonder how such a stereotype ever came to be when the reality is just not like that at all.
