I don't really wear jewelry, though I've always loved rings for some reason. I always liked the lighter metals with darker stones (I know it's really cheap, but I <3333 onyx!)

Right now, the only piece I regularly wear is a silver chain. I much prefer the look of it to a gold chain I had years ago; much more subdued. Not quite as .... obnoxious? That may not be the right word. "In your face," I guess. I have a reddish skin color/facial hair, so wearing yellow gold makes it look really yellow.

Why choose when you can have both? I've always been a fan of Sol and Luna conjoined...

...although Mars and Mars conjoined is significantly more interesting

I like silver. I have a favorite silver ring in feather shape. I would wear it daily. icon_smile.gif

My junkie silver jewelry day is over. I prefer not wearing anything at all. Gold is for women , guys dont look good in it in my opinion.

I wear either, depending on my outfit color, though never both together at the same time, naturally. Last year I changed all my formal accessories to silver (cuff links & studs, dress watch, even my eyeglasses) because I decided they look better with a black tuxedo than gold does.

I had previously worn gold because my formal Army dress uniforms required it by regulation, and I just did the same thing with my equivalent civilian attire. Then one day I suddenly realized gold is not a good choice against black, and I had only been wearing it out of habit from my Army days.

Does it matter? When either is affixed to your veneers, you won't seem them anyhow, just the world icon_lol.gif

    Though...

Throw in purple leather seat covers and I'm down for gold.

My taste has changed over the years. Although I have historically not been a jewelry wearer, in my teens and twenties, I preferred (and could best afford) silver. When I first started making a little money, I started buying a few gold items, and bought both yellow and white gold, but predominately as gifts for others...partner, Mother, niece. I eventually came to the conclusion, that, if I was going to spend the money for gold, I wanted people to know it was gold and not stainless steel or white gold. For our twenty-fifth anniversary, my partner gave me a watch, stainless steel but with gold accents. I loved it and still do, but mostly because it's from him. Very recently, I've started liking yellow gold, and have bought several pieces. I wear them regularly and like the look. I try to buy timeless looks that don't need to be replaced as fashions change.
