There're so many now that's all I see in the cooler.
Do you drink any? There's Monster, rockstar, bang
Red Bull and a few others. I like the caffeine boost but I'm not sure
any of it is really healthy! Thoughts. good, bad?

Well if they contain that toxic high fructose corn syrup than they are a beverage of death. That is why I avoid them.

I’ve always been hypersensitive to caffeine. I seldom have any coffee or Coke, sometimes tea. And then usually only some instant coffee, which has less caffeine than brewed, if I need a start-up kick due to a very early morning appointment, and must tackle traffic.

A heavy dose of caffeine like these “energy” drinks have would nearly kill me. With trembling hands and racing heartbeat, totally agitated and unable to remain still.

Oh they are the fountain of death.

So many kids drink it and in all honesty, if I have to believe that they are the future, I'm happy to not have kids. (Or that i will have them).

No if you want a boost, have a coffee. Thats all.

I've never had any and never will. My "guilty pleasure" is a 16oz bottle of Coca-Cola every so often. Otherwise it's just orange juice (fresh squeezed) and water.

It wasn't a slam against you or your choice of video. However, I didn't think it was funny. I thought it was tragic.

Knowing that the woman in that video totally believes her own bullshit is unsettling.

Have you ever noticed that there are conflicting case studies on caffeine which some show are harmful while others indicate that in moderation are helpful antioxidants?

    Ever wonder why?

Consider first that no energy drink is moderate with twice as much or even triple that in regular soft drinks.

Second is there is natural caffeine sources like coffee and tea and then their are artificial sources like sodas, energy drinks and now even gum and other products. Wanna guess which one is an antioxidant and which one is harmful?

Lastly, even natural caffeine is addicting and you even will become immune to or crash from use. It's not as bad as comming down from other stimulants like cocaine or meth but still needs to be monitored to remain moderate. Take it from a cup a day coffee drink who now drinks 2 or even 3 cups a day;)!

    Personally i like them.
Monster is the worst. It's double the quantity but has alot more sugar in it and has preservatives as well.
It's owned by coca cola and it's their answer to redbull just like powerade (more sugar)was their answer to gatorade.
Drinking 500 ml of an energy drink is crazy not to mention you will not be able to sleep.
Here in europe they have a red bull clone called Hell. I really like it and it comes in many flavors like grape strawberry kiwi lime and orange.
Since it's only 250 ml it can give you a slight kick when needed before a workout for example.
At 1 euro it costs half of 1 redbull.
But redbull is still the champ.
It has the best taste and the least amount of sugar.
Rockstar is awful in my opinion.
