Not at all puzzling. We love Key West, go there often, have friends there. Also of interest to guys here because it remains a popular gay travel destination. So I post about it several times throughout the year, as helpful info. I also post about the Fort Lauderdale area and Wilton Manors, two other gay travel spots.

If someone else has favorite gay destinations then by all means post about them. What are YOURS? That you have visited? Places to stay there, things to do? Please share those details, don’t selfishly keep them to yourself.

Despite the fact that it is not a popular gay resort destination but Galveston Texas is a relatively gay friendly resort city with historic cityscapes, awesome beaches, and a lot of sexy hunky men though most are straight unfortunately.

I found Galveston a bit industrial, not visually attractive. Houston to its nearby west wasn’t bad, had a small but active gay scene when I lived there.

The Gulf Coast around Corpus Christi is nice, especially South Padre Island. And I also camped around Lake Corpus Christi. The Texas Hill Country west of San Antonio & Austin are very enjoyable. But admittedly I wasn’t out back then, can’t speak to the gay scenes (if any) of those last places I just mentioned.

I rate places not just on the gay scene alone, but overall quality of life. That for me includes a lot of outdoor activities. But some years since I was in Galveston, would be willing to check it out with my guy, if the opportunity arises.

Galveston has some industry but most of the heaviest and dirtiest industry was in Texas City which is a similar sized city across the bay from Galveston.

That’s true. I just remember it all blurred together, perhaps unfairly. And I preferred the beaches further down by Padre Island, which seemed cleaner, away from the busy port.

But again, I was ignorant of the gay scene anywhere on the Gulf. Further inland from Galveston, in Houston, was a very good scene. In the Montrose Section, and a few other spots around the town. A combination of fun & sleaze, all out in the open, surprising for Texas.

I recall during the Flame War years, the the Keys were used as a meet up place for the thuggish off centred Liberals and Democrates alike,
It was all rather pointless, since they lost the war, and battle. Leaving Kernel Cuckoo standing largely alone.

Come now Road Rage Rob, not only are you a delusional swinger, flip flopping from one side to the other.
Like a tipical deplorable libtard, your projecting too, as Dumbocrats and Libtards have a penchant for doing.

Projecting their sins onto the other team. I do however recall when you said worse about our Fart Deco, the Gay Bashing bisexual.

As for me, just trying to be objective. I wouldn’t recommend much of the rest of Texas to anyone, much less to gay men. But there are pockets that are OK, most states have them. Look at Florida, a tale of 2 states. South Florida is very gay friendly in most places, while the northern half, especially in the panhandle, is rabid Trump country and hates gays.

The same could be said about Louisiana, it is basically two states. The southern 1/3 of Louisiana is pretty much live and let live and cities like Baton Rouge and New Orleans are very friendly to gays and other minority groups. Even blue collar industrial Lake Charles isn’t too bad. The remaining 2/3 of the state is the complete opposite with gun toting, pickup truck driving rednecks and narrow minded bible thumping screwballs all over the damned place and their intense hatred towards anyone that is not like them is out there on public display.

In some states in can be pockets, as I have said, not clear lines on a map. Why that is I can’t always say.

I know all those places you mention in Louisiana. In some I can be out, in others I go into full closeted mode, that I hate, for survival’s sake. It does no lasting good if I make a point, but it dies unknown with me.

The Army taught me to pick my battles, and sometimes you must avoid combat or retreat to fight another day. The only thing that matters in the end is winning. And I always intend to win.

It must come naturally for a bisexual who lived most of his life as a a heterosexual, having women and children to use as a beard.. to so easily flip flop, from straight to living as a gay. Sorry I've only got one mode; homosexual; no matter where I am in Australia? Or the USA for that matter. This leopard doesn't change his spots, and I'm still alive.

Alright smartass let’s see you show your bonified homosexual credentials in small towns and rural areas in states like Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Texas. Chances are you will get your gay Aussie ass brutally beaten and end up in a hospital emergency room.

I’ve lived or spent extensive time in all the Old South states, nearly 20 years total. Have you?

He thinks he knows more about the US than we do, and tries to lecture us about our own country. All he proves is how ignorant of the US he really is. Citing his imaginary trips here and fake family history.

One has never said I know more about the US. But I do have a long prominent family history there. My husband of 30+ years is American, and I've been to America far more times than you two losers have ever been down under.

Now Road Rage Rob, as I've talked about before. I first declared I was going to grow up to marry a man, in Rural Australia, before my teens. Now rural Australia wasn't much diffrent to America's 1950's, back then. As I have also stated I refused too step down on the issue of homosexual marriage, no matter what they did to me. Sorry sisters but I never grew up being a big girls blouse, hiding behind women and children. But it seems you two would never understand, especially our half brother the bisexual, who spent all his youth and young years in hiding. Hiding behind a uniform and women and children, until middle age, when much of the hard slog had already been achieved by us homosexuals.

Can't be surprised he never had the balls to live like a homo, around red necks. So girls, keep your big girl blouses, cowardness to yourselves Possums, and not project it onto others. That's simply deplorable.

He just created a new one, complaining that he should be in Key West right now but it's all Donald Trump's fault.
