I have had this location mentioned to me as a great place to both live and invest. I have not actually visited yet, but have any of you men had any experiences there? Vacationed or lived there?

    Thank you,

I wanted to visit that scenic beautiful spot and travel California Route 1 but when you travel with people who are always in a hurry, you end up on horrible, god awful roads like I-5icon_sad.gif

I have vacationed in Carmel Valley which is pretty close to Big Sur and made sure to spend a whole day exploring Big Sur. I have many pictures of the beautiful beach and scenery while there. There's nothing else like it.

I originally started in San Francisco and took the scenic route through Pebble Beach and Monterey to get to Carmel Valley eventually. If you decide to visit, be sure to rent a vehicle so you can do these scenic routes. You'll find places to park along the side of the road along many popular sights which makes it convenient to get out and enjoy the views.

I took this trip with no expectations and it's easily been one of my favorite locations ever visited.

I live not too far away. The area is incredibly beautiful. But it is also now somewhat gentrified in that it is expensive and that is land, hotels, food, everything. Not a lot to do except enjoy nature which is insanely wonderful. But people don't go there for city pleasure, it is a hiker's dream. If you're strong. Pretty mountainous. Long trails. Dogs welcome but don't let them fall off a cliff!
