    The UK Government published a report produced by The Scientific Advisory Committee on Nutrition (SACN) concerning its recommendations on vitamin D intake. The link to this very important 2016 document is below.

    Vitamin D is proven to protect against respiratory disease a fact that was known more than 150 years ago when cod liver oil (a rich source of Vitamin D) was used to tread TB. We all need to increase our intake of Vitamin D...400IU or 800IU is considered to be the best daily dosage...and...you cannot overdose with this vitamin...but beware of cod liver oil...too much and you may OD on Vitamin A.
