Odd how the lefties here - and especially the CANADIANS constantly criticizing the USA here - missed this.

Ontario confirms 203 new cases of COVID-19

Ontario confirms 203 new cases of COVID-19 today, a spike from the 135 cases reported yesterday.

In a tweet, Minister of Health Christine Elliott called the increase "concerning" and noted that 57 per cent of new cases are people 39 years old or younger.

One more person has died, bringing the death toll to 2,753.

The provincial total of confirmed cases now stands at 37,942 with 88.6 per cent considered resolved.

203 cases and 1 death!? Arizona has half the population, 3500 cases and 134 deaths just today!

Loving the self-own though. Kinda like Trump arguing with Chris Wallace by pointing to charts that prove Wallace right and Trump wrong.

^^That's the thing, Canada doesn't have a worse spike. The US spike is 300x worse. An American pointing to Covid in Canada is like a 1000-pound land whale calling Adele fat, as he sits fused into his sofa covered in maggots and feces.

Canada out of control? Coming from an American? That's literally the dumbest thing I have ever read on here...and I've read a lot of dumb shit lately.
Let me guess...you also think Trump is smart and is doing a good job? Masks do more harm than good? Kanye 2020?

135 to 203 is a 50% increase in a single day. Not surprised the lefties here don't understand that.

We get blaring, hysterical headlines here in the USA for far smaller percentage increases in a single day. And of course, our "news' media here in the USA is the best, only the facts you know. So to put this as MSNBC, CNN or the NY Times would:

COVID infections out of control in Canada! Ontario sees 50% increase in cases in a single day!

    Get it?

Single day spikes of this magnitude can be due to various reasons, like the ones (much bigger ones) that we see here in the states after every single weekend, so not necessarily surprising. Calling this "out of control" while the states are the shitshow that they currently are is very ironic.

Covid-19 is being more exposed due to more increased and accurate testing!
When I had the coronavirus back in late January, it was considered a flu (I was tested for antibodies).
I didn't have it very bad, but my neighbors who have several kids all recuperated just fine too.
The increased exposure is a good thing, but it's also telling us that most likely everyone
will get it before there is a vaccine. Word to caution> Work on your immunities and like
my neighbors told me they stayed active and did a lot of sunbathing to help. It's an odd
bug and most Countries/States/Communities are still playing catch up! Be safe!

OP is proof that the American education system has failed. Daily-to-day fluctuations is why everyone uses 7-day averages. Also having relatively low numbers to begin with means that fluctuations will have a disproportionate impact.

For example, British Columbia went from 19 cases yesterday to 31 today, 60% increase, OMG!

Where was OP last week when Arizona went from 1200 cases on Sunday to 4300 cases the next day, a 250% increase?? OMG!

Learn to speak and write correct English, you know-it all.
Canada is NOT a cold country - by far. It is hotter than most places you've CLAIMED to visit.
Get your facts straight and quit embarrassing yourself by your prattling nonsense about things which you know NOTHING about.

Indeed. Cancer is bad. But I hate to repeat myself, but I will to point out some SERIOUS perspective on things.
In the last 24 hours, 27,000 children died of starvation. Another 27,000 will die tonight. And the night after that. And the night after that. And every night of every week of every month of every year. That makes approximately 9 .1 MILLION children dying of starvation every year.

But the average person who lives in the world's developed countries is tired of having their conscious lashed with these facts.
This whole COVID--19 thing is a slap in the face for the rich, spoiled Western world to wake up and realize what suffering -TRUE suffering - really is.

You miss the point everyone else is trying to make, which is that the OP is full of shit if he's trying to say Canada isn't doing a good job on Covid, precisely because the US is doing far worse.

Lots of deaths in this world are unpreventable. Send all the aid you want and corrupt shithole governments will take most of it before it reaches the starving children you speak of. We lose 36,000 lives to car accidents annually, even though every state has seatbelt and texting laws. Most of the US Covid deaths in April were unavoidable, and if Americans acted like adults about it like in Canada and the EU, we'd be in better shape than the latter. But the extra deaths we're seeing now, and the tsunami of deaths coming soon as a result of skyrocketing cases, is definitely preventable if not for this stupid president and this reopening bullshit in the red states, which had plenty of time to guard against an outbreak, suddenly Republicans are all pro-choice with this "my body my choice" nonsense lol

Errrr..... I don't know where you get your information from (the mainstream media, no doubt), but ALL of the Canadians I know DO NOT criticize your country.
Might I suggest you examine your "evidence" more closely before you make such a ridiculous, blanket statement like that in future?
Furthermore, I just realized that because you are so much of a coward to NOT show your face, you clearly are lacking a brain.

Exactly. I am just applying the lens of how our "We lost the election in 2016, we hate Donald Trump" "news" media covers COVID-19 here, to the Canada numbers. And you don't like it do you? It's unfair isn't it?

You're so deluded, it's scary! Do NOT speak for us, when you don't even live here.
I myself, and most people I know here, LOVE Trump and everything he is doing.

    um, proportionality?

Trump denials and push to re-open cause American deaths to return to over 1000 deaths per day - Media: "this is bad!"
Canada has <10 deaths a day - Trump trolls: "this is bad too! See what I did there?"

    More dire news from Canada:

Ontario confirms 195 new cases of COVID-19 today, a jump from the 103 cases reported yesterday.

That's almost a 100% increase just in a single day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!*

    * Applying USA "journalism" techniques used in reporting number of positive test cases only in states that voted for Donald Trump in 2016.
