BigBanana saidWe have all kinds of trees on the Islands. Some are unique
to the area and we do have tropical pine trees, but my favorite
are the coconut trees. Here's a grove close to my home.

What do tropical pine trees look like, are they similar to regular pine trees from cooler climatic regions or are there significant differences icon_question.gif

^ That's a good question! The pine needles are not as sharp and they
are longer with tiny pine cones. They smell good too and are similar
to willow trees. I'll get a photo next time I hike in the area. :-)

If you’re ready for Hawaii it has opened
up without quarantine if you get a covid
test 72 hours prior to your arrival on the island
chain! It’s been peaceful here, but it’s nice to
    welcome you back!!

    Aloha

and not freeze!! There're so many amazing trails with secluded
beaches, remote ponds and huge lava tunnels!! Here's a path
    that I love to take.......

That looks like gorgeous scenic country with the sea waves crashing into the coastline and the forested, mountainous landscape. Since the weather is warm, you could hike around in a skimpy speedo and flip flopsicon_biggrin.gif

Haha I have hiked naked and in my speedo when there are NO—-women around!!! I just do want them to see my junk!!
Unless it’s a bunch of gay dudes, then I show it ALL!!! Proudly lol,

One of the 1st rules of Hawaii are, no hiking in flip flops on lava!!!! Big no no!!!
Why? If you trip and fall you’ll shred yourself on the glass like lava rocks or like I
have done more than once.....sliced my big toe nearly off!!! So good shoes while hiking,
beach, in town and around home, flip flops!! icon_cool.gif

who took this photo of snow in Hawaii!!

13K up Mauna Kea volcano! It's still active, but you can go skiing on
the slopes! Hawaiian Style, with a surf board.....icon_wink.gif
