I hated to do it, had reserved our favorite duplex suite. But our friend wasn’t gonna come along. And none of our favorite Key West places are fully open. So what’s the point?

At least I get our $900 deposit back, with no penalty. But we’d rather have had Key West, at any price, we need a break.

We've all been wondering if you and the guy who isn't your husband that you claim is even though you two are not married would or would not be going to Key West.

On behalf of the hundreds (thousands!) here who have been kept up at night just not knowing what was going to happen, we thank you.

Not even hundreds, perhaps a few guys here who would take a Winter break in Key West might be interested. Because unlike you, who never gives useful advice to gays, I like to share my real experiences with my brothers.

So Key West is semi-shutdown. Not a lot to do there. Same as much of South Florida. I would wait and see what happens.

Right now we’re a coronavirus hotspot. Despite our Trump-mouthjpiece governor. Believe nothing they say. The reality is a lot worse.

Your "gay brothers" huh? You are a bisexual, who has been married to females multiple times. You have fathered children with those women. Plural. Plural. There is a reason the word bisexual exists. To accurately describe people like you.

And can you get through a topic WITHOUT whining that your side lost an election FOUR YEARS AGO????

It'll burn through and burn out, as it has in every other region. Its your turn now to lay low for a few weeks until it does.

Agreed, not too fun or worth going without the party.. holiday atmosphere. Maybe the price will drop or some other incentive next month.

Don't feel too bad! Here's what I say about Hawaii........

It's easier to visit Fort Knocks when it's closed vs.
Traveling to Hawaii, at least right now. icon_razz.gif

Actually, just the opposite. The isolation has brought us closer together.

I know there have been reports of increased domestic tension, even violence, with some couples, gay & straight. But not with us.

On the contrary, we've grown closer together. More appreciative, and yeah, more dependent on this other guy.

One of the very few benefits we've gotten out of this Trump Plague.

But we still need a break from isolation. Like all Americans we need this to end. And maybe with Trump gone, it's gonna happen.

    Question..
Um why don't you marry your partner (for real) so that byyou can be officially married??
That way you won't be constantly nagged about not being married (legally)??

Maybe he’s keeping the door open just Incase he meets someone fresh, like you? icon_wink.gif
Personally, I’m not sure I would get married either, unless daddy promised me billions!!!

Bigbanana I don't care if he's legally married or not. People here get annoyed when he calls his partner "husband".
So I'm asking him if he's ever considered getting married for real so that no one here on rj can give him a hard time where his marriage status is concerned..

A break from the same daily routine. A change of scenery. And visit Key West friends we haven't seen in a while.

And yeah, the pandemic has further limited our local activities. But right now storm Eta is about to hit the Keys. May or may not reach hurricane strength. All we're getting here from it are some high winds, torrential rains with flooding. The river is already covering our neighbors' lawns. So we're mostly hunkered down until mid-week.

And planning for Thanksgiving. Gonna do it here, rather than elsewhere with friends, as we've done for 13 years. But their plan is still for about 15 people (in other years around 30), but that's still too many for us. Our dinner here may have 1 guest, total 3. Hate to miss out on the big annual dinner, but missing out on the rest of our lives would be more significant.

This has made me realise, how contented I am with my own life, and position. After the harsh restrictions us Melbornians have been forced to endure, over recent months.
As of midnight last night, I can now travel outside of Metro Melbourne. Instead of only 5 kilometres from home. Yet my husband and I, are in no rush to break free, and travel. Not until the new year.
