Hey guys! Are you hitting gyms back up again since they're beginning to reopen? I recently joined BLINK before the lockdown and recently refroze my membership till October. Still kinda hesitant about the "new normal" gym set up. Wondering what your thoughts were. I REALLY miss the gym and getting fit and the motivational masculine atmosphere of the locker room. I was just wondering what your thoughts were on how it's going if you're hitting the gym now. Like I heard drinking fountains are not available, so I'm gonna have to bring like 3 water bottles with me??? Locker rooms available but no showers...so I guess forget about working out before work??? And I heard they got rid of equipment to make more room, but there was already not enough. But maybe they're not as populated as before...??? Thoughts? Advice???

Here in Buffalo and western New York our gyms have been open since mid August and so far so good. Masks are required on the workout floor. Social distancing and wiping down the equipment is greatly encouraged and most members seem to be conforming to the protocols. In terms of showers, it depends on the size of the shower and locker room area. Saunas are definitely closed until further notice. I have been going since right after the gyms reopened and from what I have observed while working out, the mass majority of gym members are taking the precautions and protocols very seriously.

gyms in central florida have been open since the end of may - not much has changed - u can use the water fountain but only to fill bottles with water - thats about the only difference

the population inside is somewhat reduced but its been slowly coming back since mid summer - not packed but not empty either

some people are freaked out by the covid and nothing anyone is going to say is going to change that - they, i suppose, will stay locked in their houses forever or until they go stir crazy - personally id say its alot more unhealthy to do that than being in a gym getting exercise and socializing with people

    but to each their own

ive not heard of any problems with gyms in this part of the state nor have i known anyone to get sick

Gyms in Arizona have been open for quite a while. No problems that I know of.
