If you have the space for them, and some open space you can use, a pair of African Lioness cubs would be very cool. Or as Brian suggests, a single male Puma will settle in nicely too.

I love "Ragdoll Cats" They are ultra friendly and large! Super cuddly! icon_smile.gif

My experience with Ragdoll cats have been positive.
Over the past 25 years I've had two cats, two wee kittens that were unwanted kittens that needed a safe loving home, and they got to get that.
Both living to old aged. Mushka passing rh I s year just short of turning twenty. He was the boy, and Nkechi was the girl, and she was high Maintenance, compared to Mishka.
Never thought I'd love a cat as much as I did him.

What a beautiful, lovable cat. I am sure that she loves to snuggle up to you on a cold winter night and keep you warmicon_smile.gif

If I was to pick a cat to buy, instead of a rescue. It will be a Maine Coon.

    Who is "O", P?

    Fixed typo.

Both my Border Terriers, are now seniors, and I won't be getting anymore dogs to replace them, to allow me to travel more, and not have to deal with getting house sitters to care for the dogs, while we are away.

Whatever you do, go to a shelter and adopt one in need of a home.

Beautiful! But these type are always the first to be picked up, while the other black ones go ignored.
I think you really should get one!
My friends (and my partner), tell me that I "baby" my animals too much.
    So what?
All they are our fur babies, right?
And the fact that I am guilty of "babying" them is probably why they are all so tame and friendly!

That cat looks like my Nkechi Cat, Mishka was a fawn colour.

    I do support that thought.
If ever I do get another dog, it will be a rescue, hopefully a French Bulldog.

We always had Russian cats as well.
    Kolya and Nicholai
One was an enormous black stray .. pushing 30lbs. I developed a psychic premonition and would awaken just as he was about to leap onto my belly from the floor.

I took this photo 2 years ago here in Hawaii at this amazing and huge
abandoned park because it had some kind of lead poisoning in/on and around the grounds!
Cat's don't give a fuck and are always in defiance. Check sign above. lol

If you adopted an older cat you would do fine. Young kittens are little monsters getting into everything. I am into interior design and making a nice home so I appreciate where you're coming from. I would get a cat around four or five years old. Only thing that can be problematic is that as they get older they may develop medical problems. I don't want to have to treat ongoing chronic medical problems associated with older pets.

After we're settled into our home my partner and I want to get a cat and a dog. I'm more of a dog person and my guy is more into cats. It would be great if they both love to swim in the pool. My buddies have dogs who love to go into the pool and play fetch. It's fun to watch dogs play in water.

I like adopting black cats from the SPCA because nobody else wants them - everyone else wants tabbies or other breeds.
These babies have literally saved my life.

Aw, sweet kitties, mine are all strays who adopted me.
