  I check in maybe once or twice a day to see if there are any interesting topics in the Forums. If one interests me, I add my 2 cents and off I go. It's one of several stops on my internet highway.
  
  That being said, I am considering maybe checking this one off my list -- which disappoints me as I have been an RJ member for 13 years -- but the "Biden For President" at the top of every page is really disappointing to me. I find it kind of insulting to those of us (and there are far more than these owners may like to believe) who do not agree. Yes, the site owners are entitled to voice their own political opinion -- it's THEIR web site -- but smart site owners, knowing that they have members on all sides of politics, should present a neutral face on their site. You don't see the owners of FACEBOOK or TWITTER having such a banner at the top of every page do you? There is a reason for that --- the old "Just Because you CAN Doesn't Mean You SHOULD" adage applies here. Shame on these site owners. I have always praised them for their great work on providing a beautiful site, but this is petty on their part and short-sighted in my opinion. They need to rethink this decision. There are people on RealJock of all stripes and political affiliations and they should not only welcome and accept that, but also nurture it. Do they want there forums to be interesting and full of some healthy debate, or nothing but a boring bunch of like-minded members preaching to the choir?

  I remember the good days here, years ago. At the time, we had some spirited political debates and several of us decided to set up an alternate site for political discussion without some of the rancor that existed. At the time over ten years ago, all of us supported RJ and did not encourage anyone to stop posting here. We felt the new site would be a way for calmer conservative-oriented political discussion.
  
  That site still exists but has fallen into disuse. It might be useful for a different purpose at this point. Like you, I was disappointed to see the Admin put Biden for President on each page of the site. Knowing there are conservative oriented members here, it reflects a level of vindictiveness as well as reflecting on a degree of maturity.
  
  I think there is a real possibility that based on the Admin's actions, if he is angry at the election results, he might delete conservative member accounts. Unless other arrangements are made, folks would lose contact and that would be a shame. It is also a place for discussion in a site that is not disrespected by a site admin.

  At first I only posted in health and fitness related areas because all the politics stuff is a bit of shitshow. I weighed in briefly on two discussions that were political with the naive idea that showing some sort of objectivity would return some sort of different result. I was pretty much wrong on that. Hat tip to CuriousJockAZ (Todd? sorry we have't done names yet) for engaging keeping it civil. As far as making a positive contribution goes, I'm going to wrap up my political based conversation with Curious/Todd and abstain from political threads. Normally when it comes to discussion boards I'm not one to initiate topics and just join in conversations but since the health and fitness areas here are pretty dead I'm going to turn over a new leaf and initiate discussion there. Hopefully that will lead to those areas livening up a bit. Then we can argue high rep vs. low rep and HITT vs. steady state cardio ... you know the totally rational yelling matches people get into about fitness.

  CuriousJockAZ's and SoCalFitness's moderate/conservative views are interesting.
  The "Biden for President" banner is arguably a plus for transparency, i.e., the bias of the site/site manager is on display.
  Three appealing things about this site have been
  (1) the opportunity to connect with interesting guys who prefer guys,
  (2) the opportunity to post freely about ideas, and
  (3) the clash of ideas, which can be interesting and stimulating.
  The more that this site becomes an echo chamber for leftists the more that it loses its appeal, in my opinion.

  I joined RealJock way back in 2007 to get acquainted with and connect with masculine gay men who are into athletics and keeping fit. However over the years, this site has declined into a political gossip site with a lot of dissension among its members. The news and politics forums have really driven apart many members on here and these same forum threads have caused many good men to permanently leave this site. There are too many troublemaking trolls on this site yet the admin does nothing about them. It is really sad what has happened to this site in recent years.

  I joined this site for the same reason I've joined all sites which are mainly for gay men with muscle...to find other boxers. I'm a masters boxer and now a full time boxing coach. Under normal circumstances, meaning pre-pandemic and with much hope, post-pandemic, I travel a lot. I organize boxing events and fully participate in them. My most recent boxing trip was a 2-month trip around the world for which I organized and hosted nine different boxing camps, three in Europe and six in the US. I called it FightOdyssey IV, as it was my fourth such major boxing trip. This was a year before the pandemic struck. So I am always looking for boxers who want to either learn the sport, or, having already learned it, participate in it. While I organize events for men who really do like the sport and who really do participate in it, I also know that lots of gay men who box are often going to be good looking and have good, perfectly proportioned muscle. So erotic boxing and men who do erotic boxing will be represented on this site and other sites like it. So in addition to looking for real boxers on this site, I've used the site to connect with some pretty damned hot men with whom I've had some pretty damned hot times.
  
  As far as the political question goes, I, too was surprised when I saw the Biden for President statement at the top of the page. At first I thought it was probably not a good idea. But I quickly changed my mind on that. I am GLAD that statement is there. The idea, or concept, that this is a discussion about conservative vs. liberal is a flawed idea, or concept. Normally, and in all cases in the past, the naming of the support of one political candidate or the other WOULD HAVE BEEN about conservative vs. liberal. And I would have been against the site stating its support. However, as I said, that concept that current conversations are about conservative vs. liberal, is flawed. With Trump, we have long passed the idea of him deserving being called conservative. He is not conservative at all. He is not liberal either. He is PURE EVIL. So now the argument is, bottom line, about good vs. evil. Therefore I am very, very happy the site has chosen the side of GOOD. I am GLAD they are announcing it proudly. I do the same. I am relieved to know this is a good site with decent people in charge. And I can only pray for those who have been misled and have mistaken evil for conservative, that they will someday find peace again.

  I am on RJ for the fitness and health information discussed here. RJ has, in turn, led me to check other useful sites. But I have to admit, the photos on RJ are hot! I like to chat with members I would not otherwise have the opportunity to meet.

  I agree.... Biden is the epidemy of everything wrong with our government. "C'mon Man" the guy has done nothing in his 47 years except squander our hard earned tax dollars and is totally compromised by his 'business' dealings, well.. um, I'm sorry... his Son's business dealing with foreign corrupt countries.
  
  For a site like RJ to promote Biden is a Joke. The dude ran for president two other times.. the first time he left the race because of his plagiarism being exposed... the 2nd time he left because of his prejudice remarks... now the "Big Guy" is so week he shuffles across the stage. Biden is not the epidemy of a jock he is a failure of a man unless you worship lies, deceit, prejudice and sending the United States of America back into the dark ages.
  
  Also...what is Biden saying he would do to stop the outrageous violence, rioting and looting? Hmmm lets give up all our arms.. lets defund the police and require a counselor to be with the police to talk the criminals down.. Do you people realize our police put their lives on the line every day to protect us? I agree there are a few bad apples out their in the police force but we can't blame the entire organization for a few bad people....there are a few bad people in every type of profession out there.. do we need to defund every other walk of life because of few corrupt people?

  This was a great site.. too many good dudes in here to be represented by "Biden for President" Is this a f*****g joke???   I joined because of health, exercise, and trying to find gay guys to talk all issues and learn. However, I agree with much of the sentiment here in the latter years RJ like many other site(s) has moved as a propaganda machine of the left. Liberal thinking is no more, but rather as a tool to destroy independent thought, difference opinion is squashed and ridicule, and God forbid if there are conservative or independent gay guys who do not think like them. I have never been in the past one that just follows I always like to purse all avenues of an issue, and I will make my own opinion.
  
  RJ owners think they can do whatever they want since its their website - however, they cross the line since they are no longer 'net neutral' but have become publisher - once you cross that line you should no longer be protected under Section 230 says that "No provider or user of an interactive computer service shall be treated as the publisher or speaker of any information provided by another information content provider" (47 U.S.C. § 230).
  
  Therefore, I urge everyone to write and continue to push pressure on your congressman and representative to strip down all web providers (Facebook, Twitter, etc.) from Section 230, this will allow for anyone to sue for defamation of character, etc. This is the only way website should remain free of editorial position.

  Personally, I think the real jock administration did the Biden
  headliner as a stunt! The forums are corrupt with fake and fraudulent
  members who spam and troll others causing degradation, conflict and forms of abuse.
  Allowing this pushes the clicks higher for page ranking and advertising.
