  They say average is about 5.5
  
  Do you think it’s accurate based on what you’ve seen? If you’re bigger, are most dicks smaller? If you’re smaller, are most dicks bigger?

  Yup I would say 7 as well but I do avoid really tall guys because of the tiny shocks I have encountered...tall in height does not mean everything is proportional

  You can only determine an average based on the data you have access to...
  
  ...and while i've seen and dealt with a lot of different dicks, I certainly have not seen or dealt with ALL of them... but I don't think that I've dealt with anyone's that was smaller than 6, so the 5.5 average seems a little on the small side to me.

  Personally I haven't used a tape measure on anyone, but here are my observations:

  I agree, many guys lie and seem to be infatuated with the number "8" for some reason. As if that were some magical number.
  
  I consider myself medium hung. I'm a true 7.5" of actual insertalbe hot beef, if you will. And that's by using an actual tape measure. However, over the years I've lost track of the number of guys who claimed they were 8" and had an actual smaller dick than mine when we actually met up in person.

  although confidence means you will probably deal with bigger ones actively...the others may not date as much. so you dont see them.
